She’s run through multiple higher and lower calorie phases in order to really build her physique and she’s added so much muscle in 4 years.

What’s even more impressive? She’s a vegan! Which makes it notoriously hard to get protein in especially whilst dieting.

Nicole is exactly what MTN is all about. Continuous self improvement - she’s always looking to learn and better herself.

The first picture here was after 12 weeks of intense dieting. Alex’s physique improved more than it ever had. He looked absolutely insane after 12 weeks of hard work.

The second picture (if you swipe) was actually after around 16 weeks on HIGHER calories after the dieting phase. Yes, Alex gained some fat (minimal) but in all honesty he looks incredible and feels incredible for it.

Let’s clear something up…

You can build muscle without gaining fat!

But it requires patience, precision, and the perfect plan! .
Here’s how we do it…

1.. Eat in a small surplus - not a ‘bro bulk’ You don’t need 1000 extra calories. Start with 200–300 above maintenance and track your progress weekly. The goal is slow, steady weight gain. Aiming for around 1% of your bodyweight gained per month.

2.. Prioritize protein. Hit 2.2g per kg of bodyweight daily. This helps your body use those extra calories for muscle and recovery which is key to maintaining a lean physique.

3.. Train with intent. Progressive overload = your best friend. Add weight, reps, or control each week. Lifting heavy without improving over time won’t build new muscle.

4.. Monitor progress. Your bodyweight, your lifts, your sleep, your energy and your recovery. Look at all of these areas - if you feel one slip then you can make adjustments.

5.. Keep cardio in. This isn’t essential but can help. 2x20 minute sessions per week can keep you fitter, improve recovery, and limit fat gain.

6.. Be patient. Lean muscle growth is slow… but it’s worth it. If you do this right, you’ll look leaner and stronger over time not just “bigger.”
