It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of the late Thomas Foord on 20th January 2026 aged 69 years.

Reunited with his loving wife Evelyn. He will be truly missed by all his loving family and friends and all who knew him.

Private service will be held at South Shields Crematorium. Family and friends are welcome to the Simonside Social Club on Friday 13th February 2026 from 6:30pm onwards for a celebration of his life.

John Heslop
South Shields

It is with great sadness we share the death of John Heslop, aged 82.
John peacefully left us on January 27th 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

John will be greatly missed by his wife Nina, son Ian, daughter Wendy and daughter in law Corinne. John’s grandchildren Theo, Isabelle, Holly and James will remember their Grandad with lots of love.

John’s funeral service will be held at South Shields Crematorium on Thursday 26th February 2026 at 12.30pm. Following the service all are welcome to the Hedworth Hall to remember John.

Mary Wylie
It is with broken hearts that we announce Mary sadly passed away on January 22nd, aged 96 years. Reunited at last with her husband Ronnie. Much loved Mam to Graeme, Janice and Susan, Mother in Law to Eileen , Bill and Dave, and Nanna to Liam, Joe, Alice and Robert.
All are welcome to celebrate Mary’s life on Monday 16th February 11:15am at South Shields Crematorium. Family flowers only please. A collection box will be available at the crematorium for any donations to The Alzheimers Society.

Robert (Bob), sadly passed away on 23rd January 2026, aged 79 years. Beloved husband to Doreen, loving dad to Michael and Ian, and loving father-in-law to Kath. A doting grandad to Daniel, Rachel and Emma. Please meet for service at St Aloysius Church, Wednesday 25th February at 9:45am, followed by committal at Hebburn Cemetery at 10:30am. All welcome back to Hebburn Iona Club to celebrate Robert's life. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu will be gratefully received for Pancreatic Cancer UK, donation box will be available the Church .

Patricia Maureen Hardy (née Robins)

Patricia passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on 16th January 2026, aged 73 years. A devoted and beloved wife of George, a precious sister to Margaret & Stuart, a much loved Aunty, Great Aunty & Great Great Aunty and a wonderful friend to many.
Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her funeral service will take place at South Shields Crematorium on Monday 23rd February 2026 at 1.15pm.

At Pat’s request, there are to be no flowers.A collection box will be available at the crematorium for donations in support of South Tyneside Hospital Trust Integrated Critical Care Unit (ICCU).

Following the service, all are warmly invited to join us at the Alberta Social Club, Jarrow, to celebrate Pat’s life.

Peacefully passed away in Hospital 16th January 2026, aged 94 years.

Connie is back in the arms of her loving husband Jimmy and reunited with her beloved son Michael. Dearly loved mam of Diane and loving mother in law of Mark.

Please meet for funeral service on Thursday 19th February 2026 at St James RC Church at 10:15am followed by committal at South Shields Crematorium at 11:15am.

Family flowers only please. Donations if so desired to Ward 9 S.T.D.H all donations may be received at the Church and Crematorium. After the service all are welcome back to the Elmfield social Club, Hebburn to continue the celebration of Connie's life.

The family would like to thank The Lodge Care Home for their dedicated care and love towards their mam, she went in as a stranger and was treated with lots of love and respect from all of the staff. God bless you all.

Sadly passed away on Saturday 17th January 2026 surrounded by her loving family, aged 66 years.

Christine will be truly missed by her loving devoted husband Robert, sons Rob and Christopher, Mum Olive, nephew Scott and great nephew Joseph, sister in law Sandra. Will be sorely sorely missed by our two loving grandchildren Cora and Bobby. Christine will truly be missed by all her family and friends and all who knew her.

Please meet for funeral service on Thursday 5th February 2026 at South Shields Crematorium at 2pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if so desired to Ovarian Cancer, all donations may be received at the service. Family and friends are all welcome back to the Unionist Club to raise a glass for a celebration of Chrisitne's life. As Christine's request, please could everyone wear bright colours.

Harry is now reunited with his loving wife Bridget.
