✨ Meet Pam – Owner of Oh My Ear – Joining The House of Calm Team! ✨
Starting 4th December

We are so excited to welcome Pam from Oh My Ear to The House of Calm family. Pam brings decades of nursing experience, a warm and compassionate approach, and exceptional professionalism to our wellbeing space.

Here’s a little introduction from Pam herself:

🌿 “Hi, I would just like to introduce myself to you all. I’m Pam and I’m originally from Cheshire. I moved up to the North East when I was 18 years old to commence my Nurse training. I worked on a Male Surgical Ward at the RVI before leaving to start my family.

Whilst my 3 boys were little, I worked as an Industrial Nurse at Philips, Rolls Royce and Vickers Tank Factory. I then worked as a Practice Nurse for a year in Sunniside before joining Intensive Care at the RVI — a job I absolutely loved.

Unfortunately, I had a works accident where I hurt my neck, and I wasn’t allowed to continue clinical nursing. In 2004 I became the Risk Manager for the Surgical Division at the QEH in Gateshead, where I worked for 15 years. Before I retired, I trained to be a massage therapist and set up my own business. Due to arthritis in my thumbs, I closed this business in January 2025.

I have since retrained in Ear Irrigation with a qualified Audiologist and opened my business ‘Oh My Ear’ in January 2025. I currently practise in Birtley Monday–Wednesday and will be starting at The House of Calm in South Shields on Thursdays and Fridays from December 2025.
