As surgeons we take on huge responsibility when we agree to operate on patients. Of course none of us can guarantee perfection - but totally preventable disasters like this are absolutely horrible for the patient … particularly when the procedure was undertaken by a non-plastic surgeon with no specific training.

We fixed her at Wood MediSpa by performing a reverse abdominoplasty and releasing the fibrosis caused by the previous surgical misadventure.

Choose your surgeon wisely ladies and gentlemen… choose a plastic surgeon and if you’re having Vaser (which is a technology that I love ❤️) then your surgeon being a ‘Total Definer’ is a good benchmark - this is a safety training course in recontouring that in my opinion represents the best safety benchmark.

Yesterday Wood MediSpa hosted Mr lain Brown Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon from Cornwall - lain is a breast cancer specialist and a fantastic surgeon - he and I have been friends for more than 20 years and we have huge mutual respect an apropos visit considering that it is breast cancer awareness month.

At Wood MediSpa we are pioneering fat banking and staged fat transfer for aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery - Iain attended a 360 vaser liposuction with mastopexy and fat grafting breast.

We have frozen and stored 1.5L of fat so that our patient can return and have 4 more fat grafting treatments under local anaesthetic - we can’t put all the fat in at once because it won’t all survive, it has to be put in in small quantities…

At Wood MediSpa we combine these filling sessions with Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy in our hyper baric oxygen chamber

I reviewed this beautiful 62 years young lady this week 4 months after she entrusted me with her facial rejuvenation at Wood MediSpa.

I performed extended deep plane facelift with neck liposuction endoscopic forehead lift upper and lower blepharoplasty with canthopexy facial fatt ransfer to her temples, cheeks and the corners of her mouth and resurfacing to some age spots (lentigines).

Combinations of facial procedures can be highly synergistic when carefully selected and undertaken the final result is far greater than the sum of its parts! We are both very happy with her results - I’m very grateful that she has allowed me to share her pictures.
