Hi, I’m Marta! 🥰

I’m a Prescribing Clinical Trichologist, Dermatology Specialist Nurse in the NHS, and Lecturer for the PGDip in Trichology & Hair Sciences at USW. I’m dedicated to diagnosing and treating hair and scalp disorders using a scientific, evidence-based approach. I’m passionate about helping people understand and care for their hair based on evidence, not sales tactics or marketing. My journey began with my own hair struggles, which inspired me to study hair science and build a career grounded in evidence-based care.

I’m also a Medical Reviewer specialising in hair science articles and contribute to hair education as a Hair Expert for the Department for Education in London (IfATE). I publish clinical review articles and hold leadership roles with the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS) and the International Trichology Congress (ITC), focusing on best practices and protecting patients from misleading claims.

I’m so happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Lecturer & Academic Tutor for the PGDip in Trichology and Hair Sciences at the University of South Wales! 🎓

It’s such a privilege to contribute to postgraduate education, delivering academic teaching, guiding students through the core principles of trichology and hair science, and supporting the next generation of specialists in this field I love. 💇🏼‍♀️🧬

Still can’t believe this!! 🥹✨ Top 2 on the App Store in all of Portugal just 15 hours after launching .app ! This little idea turned into something so much bigger than I could have imagined, and seeing this kind of love and support already is surreal. 🥰

So grateful to everyone who believed in this project and helped bring it to life, this is just the beginning, and I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead! 🚀💛

Yep, I’ve just launched a hair care app in Portugal: .app and it reached Top 2 on the App Store only 15 hours after launch! 🥹 For now, it’s available exclusively in Portugal, but UK news is on the horizon. ❤️
