Yesterday our UHS Voluntary Services team held their annual 'Mince Pies & Mingle' event for those that have kindly given their time over the last year to University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

There were great conversations, a closely-fought quiz, and of course mince pies!

In November 2025, received 1,630 responses to our Friends and Family Test (FFT) Feedback Surveys.

94.42% of patients rated their overall experience of UHS as "Very Good" or "Good".

Yesterday evening we worked with the Ophthalmology team to host a focus group at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust with Involved Patients all about communication. We got some really useful feedback about appointment letters, virtual pathways and the Friends and Family Test (FFT).

We just launched some pages on our website for people on longer waits for care with us.

They signpost to resources that support patients to self-care while they wait. Over 350 patients were involved in this project and we hope to expand the pages in the coming months based on further feedback.
