Always a pleasure to visit New Forest Fencing. This time to deliver Fire Warden training focussing on their specific Fire Evacuation strategy and site-specific risks.

Great company who are keen to do things right to ensure all staff and visitors remain safe and looked after when on the premises.

REQUALIFIED!!!

I recently completed my First Aid instructor requalification course. As an instructor, I do this every three years to update my knowledge and skills as a trainer, to ensure I am teaching you correctly on accredited and regulated courses.

I enjoy the requalification courses as it gives me a chance to meet up with other like minded instructors, share interactive and engaging ways of teaching and ideas on how to teach sessions in the best possible way.

I have now been training people in life-saving skills for over 15 years. Something I'm very proud of; especially when learners I have taught tell me about when they have needed to use the skills acquired on my courses.

I recently invited members of my community to attend a free session to learn about CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

I was so pleased not just with the number of people who wanted to learn, but also the range of ages from children to retired people who wanted to learn life-saving skills.

Thank you Rownhams House and Bitterne Veterans Hub for supporting these sessions, and of course our trauma make-up specialist Catherine Watch for all the gruesome wounds you created. 😃
