After a busy month and an exciting camping weekend with lots of running about and car camping Spud was a little stiff and starting to miss his step a little getting into the boot of the car.

A good massage and he is back to his normal springy self again hopping easily into the boot, ready for his next walk.

I have been very busy recently, looking after animals, seeing family, and lots of other good stuff, enjoying this warm sunny summer we have been having.

As well as continuing to study for my canine massage diploma to add to my existing Whole Energy Body Balance work.

I have set my private work on the back burner for a while to concentrate on getting my diploma done. A recent enlightenment has meant I now need to learn new tools to help me with this.

I am continuing to see any existing clients and of course still doing my work as a registered veterinary nurse, which keeps me very busy.

I will not be doing any more shows or promoting for new clients for the rest of this year so I can concentrate on getting my diploma done.

I hope you and your furry family are all well.

I look forward to seeing my existing clients and bringing more comfort for them when I do.

So there I was giving a massage to one of my regular doggos today and looked down to suddenly realise that my socks (which I have had for some time) have been helpfully labelled for me!

I'll be honest, it was pure chance that I had put them on the right way round!!!

But now I will know to check. 😂

It is important to know your dog's limits in the heat. Short nosed, older or heavy coated dogs may struggle in temperatures that you may feel are not overly warm.
Look for the early signs of them starting to struggle and take them out of the heat. We all know pavements get hot, but so does sand. Your dog's paws can still get badly burnt at the beach and the sea breeze may be deceptive. Better to stick to early morning or late evening. Heat is retained late into the evening in tarmac so still check it before you head out.

Happy safe weekend for you and your doggos. 🐾😊

Was lovely to see so many dogs at the show today and have chats with their humans.

I look forward to maybe meeting some of you again soon.

I was a bit lax on taking photos this year as I was too busy enjoying giving them all fusses and assessing them for tension.

Little Poppy's sister Dolly won a prize in one of the shows and so did Tom who I met last year.

Was a great day again with the most amazing weather for it too.

And of course I had to buy Spud a new gift as he was at grandma and grandad's for the day.

Thanks to Stumpy's Style for the cute bandana and boy tie. He will be looking very smart in these.

Massage can benefit dogs of any age.

Regular massage can keep the muscles and fascia nice and supple. This ensures that they can take the strain of daily exercise and protect your dog from injury.

It is the muscles that move the skeleton to enable movement. Fascia surrounds all the muscles and organs of the body in a strong web like cover which holds everything in place and prevents friction.

If the muscles or the fascia become tight and restricted this not only affects the direct area of tightness, but can throw the whole body out of whack, putting extra pressure on other muscles and joints.

If you are coming along to the show tomorrow, bring your dog along for a FREE assessment to see where they may be holding tension in their body and have a chat with me about how massage can help.

Or if you are in the Southampton area and would like to chat or book a session with me then get in touch via whats app.

Wishing you and your dogs a happy and relaxed week end.

My dog Spud keeping us company while Roxy has her laser and massage session at work. A bit of calm and relaxation for us all 💜🐾
Roxy loves her sessions and often has a little snooze.
