Pregnancy changes everything, including how your body feels.

As your bump grows, your posture shifts, your ligaments soften, and your body adapts daily. For some women this feels manageable. For others, discomfort can creep in.

Common reasons women see Sarah during pregnancy include:

March feels like a turning point.

The days are getting lighter. The air feels softer. And after what can feel like a long winter, things start to look a little brighter 🌿

We know winter can be a slog, physically and emotionally so as we move into spring, it’s a good time to reset. Pay attention to how your body is feeling and take small steps towards feeling more comfortable and supported.

Later this year we’re also looking forward to organising more of our Align wellness walks in the forest, gentle movement, fresh air, good conversation. Keep an eye out for those.

We’re always grateful when parents share their experiences.

Feeding challenges can feel overwhelming, especially in the early weeks. Sometimes babies may carry areas of tension following birth, and gentle osteopathic assessment can help explore how they are moving and feeding.

Every baby is different, and our approach is always calm, individual, and unhurried, with time to listen to parents as well as assess baby.

If you’re new to osteopathy, you might be wondering…

How many sessions will it take before I feel better?

The honest answer is, it depends 🤍

Some women notice a change after their first appointment. For others, especially if symptoms have been present for a while or your body has been adapting through pregnancy, birth, stress or years of holding tension, it can take longer.

At Align, we’re not here to chase symptoms.

We take time to understand your history, how your body has adapted, and what may be contributing to how you’re feeling now. Our aim is to support meaningful, lasting change rather than just short-term relief.

It’s also important to know that healing isn’t always linear.

You might feel significant improvement after one session, and then become more aware of deeper patterns as your body adjusts. That doesn’t mean things aren’t working, it often means your body is recalibrating.

Wherever you’re starting from, you don’t need to have it all figured out before you book.

Advice for breastfeeding with Norovirus.

If you are unfortunate enough to get this bug while you are breastfeeding, the advice is to continue to breastfeed your baby. Make sure you wash your hands properly with soap and water and continue breastfeeding as normal. It’s hard going but it will protect your baby by passing antibodies through your breastmilk to help them fight in the infection.
