The World Wide Barefoot Project takes mental health and opportunity to the next level

This year, the World Wide Barefoot Project takes its commitment to mental health a step further.

Last year, we were privileged to have influential voices such as Ant Middleton, who spoke about resilience, challenges and the importance of mental health, supported by the charity Talking2Minds and other former Special Forces personnel.

This year, we are going one better by increasing our partnerships.

For many years, the founders of Ramit Rugby and the WorldWide Barefoot Project have shared a friendship built through over a decade of sport in Surrey. Barry Kavanagh, founder of Ramit Rugby, along with his teammates and colleagues Scott Mead and Scott Kelly, will once again join forces with the Barefoot Project in Dubai, as they did last year. Ramit has been around longer than a number of mental health charities involved in sport. Like Barefoot it’s about IMPACT.

This time, both teams will proudly share and promote each other’s brands to raise greater awareness of the causes that truly matter.

Alongside these partnerships, the Barefoot Project is also supporting the launch of KAYA, a new global mental health and wellbeing app. Among its ambassadors is Tom Grennan, the award-winning singer and songwriter, who joins the growing movement to make mental health support more accessible and relatable. Look out for Tom and our other stars helping to raise the profile further.

At the World Wide Barefoot Project, we believe Mental Health Week is not just a week, it is a way of life for many. Our mission remains clear: it is about opportunity, not charity. Partnering and sharing your network is what becomes your networth.

“The more we talk, the more we can help, and the more lives we can change,” said Danny Ligairi of the WorldWide Barefoot Project.

Man Gang

What is Man Gang?

Simply put, the Man Gang is a group of men who have struggled or are struggling with anything associated with poor mental health or just feeling burdened by the pressures of life.

How does it help?

The Man Gang was founded by a man who used to think that he had to put on a mask, that he was the only one feeling this way, that he couldn’t talk about what troubled him for fear of loss.
