This book is our Early Intervention Therapy Plan to address our son's Autism, Dyspraxia and Developmental Delay. The book contains all the therapies we combined to help our son and is the book I wish I had been given when he was small.
Are you concerned about your child’s development? If so, you need an early intervention therapy plan to help combine therapies on a daily basis to meet your child’s needs and support their development.
This is our Early Intervention Therapy Plan for our son to proactively address his Autism, Dyspraxia and Developmental Delay. We began his therapy when he was 18 months old and combined:
- Identifying barriers to development
- Professionals and EHCPs
- Diet and Supplements
- Communication, Speech & Language
- Behaviour Tools inc verbal, written and visual
- Play Therapy
- Dyspraxia fine and gross motor exercises
- Sensory Dysregulation and Strategies inc Wilbarger Deep Brushing and Joint Compressions
- Mindfulness
- Checklists for Autism, Dyspraxia and Sensory Dysregulation in small children.
- How to create an Early Intervention Therapy Plan
The “Toddler Therapy Toolkit – Our Early Intervention Therapy Plan for Developmental Delay, Dyspraxia and Autism” is available on Amazon and details how we proactively tailored an Early Intervention Therapy Plan to meet both his current needs but also to work with him so that he was ready to attend School. It has long been proven that early intervention can be helpful in Autism and Dyspraxia and our family have found that combining therapies provides the best early intervention plan. Much time can be lost waiting for appointments and so, as well as advice from Speech and Language Therapists and Paediatric Occupational Therapies in this book, I have also included all of the therapy we have done with our son.
Part 1 - Assessment & Diagnosis
Part 2 – Therapies and Checklists
Part 3 - How parents can create their own therapy plan tailored to their child.
I have written this book because I understand how hard it is to have a Special Needs Child and how little support there is for parents. This book contains all the information I know parents of a Special Needs Child will need for early intervention and is the book I wish I had been given when our son was first displaying signs of Autism, Dyspraxia and Developmental Delay. We as a family are so proud of the wonderful person our son has become and how much progress he has made. I humbly hope this book empowers other parents who find themselves in the same situation to support their child.
