Another 1960s Tiny Tears cleaned up with new eyes. I meet so many of these! They were very popular and clearly very much loved.

A 1970s Pedigree 'Chuckles' doll cleaned up with a new foam insert and her eyes repaired.

These lovely unmarked Roddy dolls from the late '50s and '60s can be girls or boys. Billy is sometimes a boy and sometimes a girl, depending on who's playing with him/her! Cleaned up now with a new pair of eyes and some natural colour on the lips.

Occasionally I still adopt dolls in need of a loving home. It was such a joy to restore this 1920s Japanese celluloid boy and to be allowed to keep him! I've named him Walter.

I've just said goodbye to Amelia Rose. She needed a repair to her torso, a replacement leg, and restringing - not bad for eighty years old, really.

Dolly is a lovely big German doll dating from the 1960s. She's been cleaned and restrung, and her hair has been restyled and her eyes repositioned. I also gave her knickers and socks a chemical soak and found her some shoes. Her dress needed careful handling so that was expertly cleaned by Pressing Needs.

This poor 1930s dolly had been dropped, resulting in one leg missing some pieces and a replacement head from the '60s! I cleaned her, patched up the leg and found a more appropriate head from the same era. I'm often asked to replace missing limbs but this is the first time I've provided a head!

Doris is looking good for 100 years old! She was made by the German company Walther & Sohn and is a treasured family heirloom. As you can see, I've cleaned her, fitted a wig, strung her back together and found her some socks and shoes. Her dress is being made bespoke.

I've just finished restoring sweet Nellie, a 1950s Pedigree doll who needed a lot of love! She's had a good clean, her eyes have been repaired, eyelids repainted, eyelashes replaced, lips repainted, wig replaced... and finally, she's been strung back together with fresh elastic.

Harriet is a Famosa doll from around 1990, passed from mum to daughter. The little girl had decorated the box she travelled in! Harriet has been cleaned up, dressed, given new eyes, had her hair washed and made a bit less vertical (!), and had some sewing repairs too.

This is Cindy Lou, another lovely Pedigree walker doll from the 1950s. She's had a repair to one arm socket, new earrings, and her arms and head reattached.
