The Ear Checks Programme began with an important goal: to develop accessible ear checks for children and young people who are autistic and/or have a learning disability.

All children should have the opportunity to have their ear health checked. That’s the message behind this unique collaborative project we delivered for The Co-Production Collective and Seashell Trust.

Our animation helps demonstrate the ear check process in a clear, friendly way — showing children and young adults exactly what to expect.

In partnership with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, the workbook provides practical tools, guidance, and strategies to help patients manage their symptoms and empower clinicians to deliver consistent, effective care.
