South Coast Family Research

South Coast Family Research For all things genealogy, whether it's advice or helping you build your family tree, I am here to help. I can help you research your family tree.

Not sure where to start? All you need are your parents' and your grandparents' date and place of birth as well as their marriage details. I can show you the various websites on offer to help you with your research. Are you limited for time? I can carry out the research on your behalf. My hourly rate is £15.00 per hour, which is payable in advance, that way, you are in control of how much you spend and how much research is carried out. I would recommend an initial purchase of four hours work, but you can book as little as one hour. Any information traced, will be presented to you in a report, along with any certificates that have been requested. I can also print out the family tree which would also make a lovely personalised gift.

I've been looking for a suitable referencing book for genealogists for a little while and came across this one. It has great reviews, and having just completed my BSc in Information and Library Studies wanted to continue referencing using the same style as I used in my studies. The referencing book I used for my studies only covered the basics of genealogical sources. This book covers primary and secondary sources using the Harvard style of referencing and ensures accurate information is provided. For those of you who are interested and like to write reports regarding your research, I can recommend using EndNote for inserting the in-text citations and references
