🌟 As part of the QI Leaders Pathway Vets for Pets 2025 David Donovan explored how to improve the use of local anaesthetic in canine and feline dental surgeries.

🦷🐾 His project, “The NUMB Initiative - Improving local anaesthetic use in dental surgeris”, focused on increasing the number of patients receiving local anaesthetic during dental procedures to improve comfort while reducing the need for additional anaesthesia and post-operative pain relief.

✅ The result? A significant improvement from 2 in 10 to 9 in 10 patients receiving local anaesthetic, exceeding the project aim and highlighting the power of team engagement and face-to-face communication to drive change.
