A few shots from this week’s combined RYA Sea Survival and STCW Personal Survival Techniques course, delivered at Hamble and taught by John, who was assisted by Alex.

This is one of those courses every seafarer hopes they’ll never need — but absolutely must be ready for. From liferafts and lifejackets to hypothermia, helicopter rescue, and real-world survival decision-making, it’s practical, physical, and taken seriously by professional mariners and yacht crew alike.

We run this course almost every week, and the last time we cancelled a date was during Covid. That reliability matters when people are travelling, planning sea time, or working to revalidation deadlines. Very few renters can regulary offer you dual or tri certification with RYA, STCW and World Sailing.

A few shots from yesterday’s CT Outboard Maintenance Course, taught by Ash. 🔧⚓

Developed by our Principal and instructor team over the last 22 years, this hands-on course is all about real-world fault finding, servicing, and preventative maintenance — the stuff that actually keeps boats running.

The course runs twice a month from our Hamble centre and also forms part of our popular Yacht Maintenance Week, making it ideal for owners, crew, and professionals who want proper practical knowledge rather than guesswork.

Delivered by Alan and examined by Doug, this is a key qualification for Masters and Officers working on everything from workboats and super-yachts right through to the largest merchant and passenger vessels on the planet

We run this 8-day MCA-approved STCW programme every month, from both our Hamble and Scottish training centres – keeping candidates current, confident, and compliant with modern maritime communications. If radio silence isn’t an option… this is the course that matters.
