WATERMELON ๐
Good afternoon,
I make this regularly when melons are in season, please make sure that they're NOT seedless which is why I don't buy them
From supermarkets!!
Happy to share privately where I buy them ...
1. Keeps You Hydrated
Watermelon is made up of over 90% water, making it one of the best fruits for staying hydrated. Eating it regularly helps maintain your fluid balance, supports kidney function, and prevents dehydration, especially in hot weather.
2. Rich in Antioxidants
Watermelon is packed with lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your cells from damage. Lycopene has been linked to reduced risk of certain cancers, especially prostate and breast cancer.
3. Supports Heart Health
The lycopene in watermelon, along with citrulline (an amino acid), helps improve blood flow and may reduce blood pressure. Eating watermelon can support your cardiovascular health and lower your risk of heart disease.
4. Aids Muscle Recovery
Watermelon juice is a popular post-workout drink. Its citrulline content may help reduce muscle soreness and improve recovery time after exercise. Plus, the natural sugars help restore energy levels.
5. Promotes Healthy Skin
Watermelon contains vitamin C, which is essential for collagen production. Collagen keeps your skin firm and youthful. Lycopene also helps protect your skin from UV damage, keeping it glowing and healthy.
6. Supports Digestion
With its high water content and small amount of fiber, watermelon supports gentle and regular digestion. It can help reduce bloating and support gut health.
7. Good for Eye Health
Watermelon contains beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A. This vitamin is essential for eye health, helping prevent conditions like night blindness and age-related macular degeneration.
8. May Help With Weight Management
Despite its sweetness, watermelon is low in calories and fat-free. Its water content and natural sweetness can help satisfy cravings, making it a great snack for those watching their weight.
