What a fab couple of weeks celebrating my hubbys big 4 0 with friends & family.

Clay pigeon shooting for the main day (pleased was last week when it was still lovely and warm). A completely new experience for me. I did manage to hit some of them. So pleased for arnica salve for the huge bruise I got🙈!

A beautiful gift off a regular client today. The reason for the gift was a sad but happy one.

I was told I saved his life and felt he wanted to show his appreciation with a bunch of gorgeous flowers.

Lots of you know I’m a massage therapist and have been for over 25 years. In 2020 when the world stopped still I went on various courses and one of those was a skin cancer course.

All I can say is having regular massages with your Massage Therapist is a good thing. Not only to iron out all the knots and tension, as well as relaxing the mind and body. It could highlight any changes within the body like moles, lumps and bumps.

I spotted four moles I didn’t like on his back and asked him to have them checked out. The first GP said they weren’t skin cancer and didn’t check thoroughly however as I said I still wasn’t sure on them, he went for a second check by a different GP who agreed with me and made him a hospital appointment. Fast forward, two mole removals, biopsy’s are back and sadly it was skin cancer stage 1. Luckily all removed.

The hospital were amazed it was picked up so early and said thanks to my training and pointing them out it hadn’t spread.

My top tip is don’t get sun burnt, this skin cancer they have said is from nearly 50 years ago from a badly sunburnt back. Wear factor 30 when out in the sun to protect the largest organ of the body- the skin.

Our new favourite National Trust place…. Can you guess?

Really worth the visit. Beautiful gardens, buildings, lake and mini caves.

Was a great place to go and explore on Tuesday for our second wedding anniversary….. Not sure where those two years have gone. Glad we didn’t have that weather on our wedding day 🤣. Didn’t spoil our trip to Stourhead as managed to dodge the showers.

Followed by a stop in the Spread Eagle Pub for baked Camembert. Delicious.

Step 1 - Sea salt soak
Step 2 - Sugar scrub
Step 3 - Mud mask
Step 4 - Massage Butter

My top tip is use just half of the contents and use the other half a few days later. Super soft feet afterwards.
