Today we said goodbye to two lovely ladies we have supported for 6+years at home . The time had come where staying at home without 24 hour care was impossible and unsafe . Both clients made the decision independently which makes it a little easier for our team to assist them with preparations for the next chapter in their lives . Supporting people to live at home safely with a bespoke care package to suit each individual will always be our priority with existing and future clients. Wishing Edna and Phyliss every comfort and happiness in their new homes . ######

Looking after a relative with Alzheimer's , or a partner that needs continuous care? At Helping Hands we receive calls from families asking for advice and help to make caring for a loved one a little bit easier. Sometimes it's a relief just to talk to another person and share concerns,but at Helping Hands we are now offering a Sitting service which will enable carers to have a few hours "Time out" from the quite often repetitive demands placed on them when supporting someone on a daily basis . Helping Hands is a very small team of experienced PA's who together have over 60 yrs experience supporting families living with a form of Dementia. Just back from a lovely day accompanying our client who has early onset Alzheimer's to his sons wedding in Kent and back home to Southampton . All went to plan and everyone said how good it was that our client could attend such a big event . Helping hands can provide all kinds of support to all kinds of people. A good day.
