My current level of input. Even my banana, raisin and sunflower seed porridge has a mix of potent mushroom powders, green superfoods and turmeric in it. I promise its grounding, comforting and delicious.
My other goodies (herbal and mineral supplements, vibrational essences, cbd oil and rose oil) are helping to keep me balanced and focused. I'm endeavouring to support cognitive function and my mood, because autistic and adhd brain is not an easy juggle with uni, personal life and biz any way, without everything else going on in the world. I often feel like I don’t do any of it very well at all. Most of this stuff keeps the inner critic, self doubt and incapacitating freeze at bay, so I can keep going, contribute and be vaguely productive.
This isn't a 'hey look at me post'. It's a reminder that when things are bleak or a bit scary; when your heart is breaking; when you feel powerless to help; when you are struggling with overwhelm or low mood; when you are trying to serve life but find your spirits dipping; when you are shadow-working; or all of the above, up your nutritional and energetic levels of personal support and self-care.
For any of us to serve well in whatever capacity we choose to give in our daily lives, we have to bridge the gaps between mental, emotional or physical health and lack of sleep, heavy workloads, family stress, anxiety, pandemic concerns, political worries, pollution, nutrition, differabilities, disabilities and illness in the best ways we can.
Think smart. Hydrate. Load up on nutrition. Consistently invest time and energy, if not money, in your mental and physical health as best as you can. These things will promote emotional resilience. This isn't a call to suddenly ditch the comfort food or start a fancy regime, I haven't by a long shot. It's a genuine question? How are you supporting you so that you can be the best you can be in these weird and worrying times? Giving to yourself so you can give to others is not selfish. It's wise. Your oxygen mask goes on first.
