Meet Rebuild Women's Hope (RWH), the female-led coffee producer behind this year's Christmas coffee.

Founded by Marceline Budza in 2013, who witnessed firsthand how the women worked the coffee farms, yet the men controlled the income. Determined to change it, she set up RWH. Today, RWH empowers 3000+ members (70% women) across Idjwi Island with financial autonomy, coffee-growing training, and education opportunities.

Naturally processed, this single-origin coffee delivers a bright and fruit-forward cup with notes of juicy guava, pear and vanilla.

Meet some of the incredible producers behind our female-led FESTIVE SPIRIT blend: Donas Do Café, Brazil.

Meaning “The Women Owners of Coffee”, the Donas Do Café initiative was created in 2020 by SMC Café coffee cooperative to champion and celebrate the women working, and often leading, the coffee production across the region. Their expertise, especially in the processing needed to create high-quality speciality coffee, is what makes every cup exceptional.

As well as a key component in our festive blend, enjoy the individual characteristics of this remarkable coffee as a limited-edition single origin (available in 250g bags of whole beans or ground). This coffee lot comes from two family-run, female-focussed farms – Sitio Sao Jao and Sitio Maranhao - both proud contributors to the Donas Do Café project.

Naturally processed, expect a sweet and well-rounded cup with notes of quince, pear, and a lingering 'rum-like' finish.

Your contributions are building hope in the hardest times...

Together we’ve raised $54,738 to expand the Hospital of Hope on Idjwi Island. But we can’t stop there, our new target (thanks to the escalating cost of the conflict in DRC) is $80,000 to build the intensive care unit and operating theatre so critically needed to save lives in our coffee-growing community.
