Since becoming pregnant with my first child I’ve always had a strong interest in the bond between baby and parent, how we can nurture this and also the wellbeing of parents how to be mindful of this and encourage the important connections between parent and baby, parents with other parents etc...
When I had my first child I attended baby massage, I found it really benefitted me having that time once a week to stop and focus on connecting with my baby through touch and a time for me to get some relaxation, and new skills to use with my baby. I got to meet other mums and am still very good friends with one of them now, as are our boys. Since doing baby massage with my first born and learning about the all benefits I always had at the back of my mind that I wanted to one day set up my own baby massage classes for parents and their babies. Having just completed my Baby Massage and Yoga training with Megan de Kok, Founder of Bibble and Bubble, I am very excited and inspired to now be doing this with my first set of mums! Mindfulness is something I have definitely nurtured within myself since becoming a parent, in those most stressful times it is something that helps keep me grounded and connected. I’ve always had a love for yoga, relaxation and meditation, and within each of my classes my goal is to offer a welcoming space where parents get a chance to relax and do some light meditation.
