Not your average pt session when you pull out so smelling salts from .co.uk _ came to me still dealing with pain just lifting an empty bar and fearful to push his rugby career — years after AC joint and collarbone surgery. Every press hurt. Every session reminded him of what he used to be able to do.

Fast forward to now — he’s pressing 20kg dumbbells for sets of 10, pain-free, strong, and confident again.

This wasn’t luck.
It was consistency. Patience. Relentless effort.
We rebuilt the foundation — mobility, scap control, strength through range — and layered it piece by piece until the shoulder could perform again.

Super proud of the work this man’s put in.
That’s what proper rehab looks like — not avoiding movement, but earning it back. 💪🔥

Telling someone to “just rest” isn’t a treatment plan.
It’s a pause button.
And when you press play again… the same pain comes back.

Instead of resting, you need to find the weakness, the imbalance, or the movement pattern that caused it in the first place.
Then start rebuilding it.
Bit by bit.
Stronger. More stable. More resilient.

So no, I won’t tell you to rest.
I’ll find what’s not doing its job and fix it — so you can keep moving, training, and improving without fear of it coming back.
