We are delighted to share we have been awarded £16,225 from The National Lottery Community Fund.

This funding will help us continue delivering affordable counselling to people in our community, ensuring that those who need support can access a safe and confidential space to talk. Grants like this make a meaningful difference to the individuals and families we work with every day.

Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for helping our community thrive 💛

We are incredibly grateful to The Inter-Church Caring Trust for awarding a £3,000 grant in January 2026.

This funding will go directly towards counsellor room hire, helping us continue to provide consistent support to clients throughout the year. Access to safe, welcoming spaces makes such a difference to the people we work with, and will allow us to continue to offer vital support to those who need it most.

Thank you for investing in our community and the wellbeing of local people 💛🙌

We’re growing our team at Abacus Counselling & Support.

We are currently recruiting for two roles:
• Qualified Counsellors
• Administrative Support

Our service provides a safe, confidential space for people in our community who need someone to talk to, and every member of the team plays an important part in that support.

Counsellor role:
We are looking for qualified, insured counsellors who are compassionate, professional and passionate about helping individuals facing anxiety, low mood and life challenges.

Administrative Support role:
You will often be the first point of contact for people reaching out. Kindness, organisation and sensitivity are essential. Duties include responding to enquiries, managing appointments and supporting referrals.

You do not need a counselling background for the admin role, but empathy and confidentiality are very important.

Application window closes on 20th February 2026 and interviews will be held in March.

If this could suit you, or someone you know, please like and share to help us reach the right people 🤍
