Buddha bowls are one of my favourite ways to make food feel supportive rather than overwhelming 🥗

For many neurodivergent people, cooking can be draining, too many steps, decisions, textures, or expectations. Buddha bowls offer a gentler approach: simple components, flexible combinations, and no “right” way to do it. A grain, some protein, a few veggies, and something comforting on top is more than enough.

They work beautifully for low-energy days, sensory needs, and chronic illness pacing too. You can batch-cook parts, use frozen or pre-prepped foods, eat the same bowl for days, or change it slightly depending on what your body can handle. Nourishment without pressure.

Living well with ME/CFS often means unlearning everything we were taught about pushing through 💚

In my latest blog, I share gentle ways to live alongside ME/CFS by pacing naturally, caring for the nervous system, and reconnecting with your body’s rhythms, inspired by nature, not productivity culture.

For many neurodivergent people, especially ADHD and autistic folks, slowing down can feel deeply uncomfortable at first. But learning to listen, rest before exhaustion, and move in rhythm can be the foundation for real restoration.

February is LGBTQ+ History Month 🌈

It’s a time to celebrate and support the activists, communities and quiet changemakers who have always existed, even when history tried to erase them. LGBTQ+ history is about resistance and joy, care and creativity, survival and pride.

For many LGBTQ+ people, especially those who are neurodivergent, chronically ill or disabled, this history also includes mutual support, chosen family and finding ways to live authentically in a world that wasn’t built with us in mind.

This month, we remember, learn, and celebrate. And we keep asking how we can make the present and future safer, fairer and more affirming for everyone.
