One of our special residents loved ones made some beautiful lap blankets, socks and shawls for our residents for the more chilly months ❄️ we are lucky enough that Milton house is not only a home but a family too 🫶🩵

Small changes make a BIG difference! 🩵

Across Milton house slowly but surely you will be noticing small changes, our residents enjoyed being a part of that process, flower arranging for around the home was a major group effort!

Unfortunately we have had to cancel Friday's trip to the pier due to unfortunate circumstances BUT instead we are having a remembrance day tea party - please come and join us at 2 for an afternoon of war songs and home made red velvet cake ❤️

Don't forget this Friday we are celebrating remembrance day, a day to commemorate the end of World War One and honor the service and sacrifice of all who have died in conflict since then ♥️
We are planning on taking a trip to the pier to see the amazing poppies that have been made for this special event, anyone who can volunteer to come with a loved one would be amazing! & Let's all wear red ❤️

POPPIES ON THE PIER ♥️🪖

Friday 7TH November 🙏

Could we please ask for any family and friends to volunteer and accompany your loved one for our outing to Southend pier, to celebrate remembrance day, come and visit the beautiful poppies that have been hand made from ladies and gentlemen across not only the UK but the world.. 🌍🪖

These kind of outings cant/won't happen without extra hands, so any extra hands to accompany loved ones make all the difference.
And every little help is appreciated!🙏

Our journey shale begin at approximately 1.15pm, once I have confirmed numbers taxis shale be ordered to the home and we shale make our way down to the pier, we will be taking a picnic and hopefully some flasks of tea and coffee! ☕🧺

We will get the train from one end of the pier to the other (unless walking is a preferred option) - the train costs £7.50 for a return. 🚂 .

Let's go and make an afternoon of special memories for remembrance day ♥️

Here at Milton house we are making a few extra special touches for our residents.
We are making our very own keepsake/memory boxes, it would be amazing if our residents, family and friends would be able to bring something that is a special touch between you and your loved one, example.... A special picture or an old plane/train ticket or a trinket, cd, ect... It would make such a personal touch and be amazing to be able to make such a special keepsake for our amazing residents! All keepsakes will be labeled with name and room number! Let's get started ✨
