🌺✨️What are the main reasons for skin ageing, and how can we prevent them?🌿🌹

Skin ageing is a natural, complex process influenced by internal and external factors.

Both natural and external factors cause skin ageing, but many signs of premature ageing can be slowed or minimised with the proper habits and care.✨️🌿💐

🧬 Causes of Skin Ageing:
🍂Reduced collagen and elastin production: The production of these proteins slows each year. it couses thinning skin, sagging, and wrinkles. Skin loses firmness and elasticity.

🍂Hyaluronic Acid Reduction: This substance helps the skin retain moisture and volume, and its decrease leads to dryness and a loss of plumpness

🍂Thinner epidermis: Skin becomes more fragile and translucent

🍂Decreased oil production: Causes dryness and fine lines.

🍂Slower Cell Turnover: The rate at which the top layer of skin (epidermis) renews itself slows down, making the skin look duller and rougher.

🍂Hormonal Shifts: In women, a sharp decline in estrogen after menopause significantly accelerates collagen loss, reducing skin thickness and moisture.

🍂Reduced Blood Flow: Slower circulation means fewer nutrients and oxygen reach the skin's surface, contributing to a loss of youthful radiance

These are also external factors of skin ageing

🍂Sun exposure (UV radiation) is a cause of premature ageing, known as photoaging.

🍂Smoking: Reduces blood flow and damages collagen and elastin.

🍂Pollution: Triggers oxidative stress and inflammation.

🍂Poor diet: High sugar and processed foods can degrade skin proteins.

🍂Lack of sleep and chronic stress impair skin repair and regeneration.

🍂Alcohol consumption: Dehydrates the skin and dilates blood vessels

🛡️ How to prevent and slow down skin ageing
Here are science-backed

🦋Use sunscreen daily: Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days.

🦋Avoid tanning beds: They emit harmful UV rays that accelerate ageing.

🦋Moisturise regularly: Helps maintain the skin barrier and hydration.

🦋Eat a balanced diet: Rich in antioxidants (vitamins C and E), omega-3s, and lean proteins.

🦋Stay hydrated: Water supports skin elasticity and detoxification.

🦋Quit smoking: It’s one of the most damaging habits for skin health.

🦋Limit alcohol: Helps prevent dehydration and inflammation.

🦋Get enough sleep: Aim for 7–9 hours to support skin repair.

🦋Manage stress: Chronic stress elevates cortisol levels, which can break down collagen.

🦋Use retinoids and antioxidants:
Retinoids boost collagen;
antioxidants fight free radicals.

🦋Regular face treatments, such as radiofrequency,
microdermabrasion, and other exfoliations chosen based on skin condition and needs;

Healthy Skin Starts with Toner ✨🌿

Did you know your skin has its own natural protection? Over time, stress, pollution, and makeup can weaken it.

When you cleanse your face, you temporarily wash away your skin's natural protective barrier, but toner helps restore it!

💧 Why use toner?

🌿It gently cleans leftover dirt and oil. Toner can effectively remove any extra dirt, oil, and makeup residue that your cleanser may have missed. This can prevent clogged pores and acne breakouts.

Effective daily cleansing 🌿✨️

This is a crucial component of the skincare routine.
During the day, dirt, pollution, makeup, and dead skin cells accumulate and begin to clog the pores. This build-up must be removed effectively, or the skin may develop problems.
A good cleanser will gently wash the skin, preparing it for future treatments.

🌿 Eye makeup should be removed first to prevent it from smearing around the face during the cleansing routine. You can use a special eye makeup remover. Gentle support the eye. Remove the mascara first by brushing down the eyelashes. Always use gently circular motions, never rub the eye, and always use a separate pice of cotton wool for each eye. 
🌿 Then, gently cleanse your lips, face, and neck.

A cleanser can be applied either to damp cotton wool discs, a sponge, a cotton cloth, or gently massaged into the skin with the fingertips. Use a cleanser and gently apply upward circular movements, avoiding any dragging of the skin. Rinse with water if needed or wipe off cream-based cleansers with a damp cloth. 
Wash your face twice for a more effective cleansing.

Cleanse your face in the morning the same way to remove any excess product from the night and refresh the skin for the day ahead.
