Leaning to be more aware of how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking has been huge....but this needs to be practiced to become second nature.

Sometimes you can catch yourself and challenge the thoughts. Our thoughts aren't always correct!! Sometimes we'll tell ourselves "I'm rubbish at this" or I feel like a fake, fraudulent person - good old imposter syndrome....but does the evidence stack up when you start looking into it deeper?! No, usually it's just the stories we're telling ourselves.

It gets easier with practise....I promise. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Being more aware of input too - what we're absorbing.....the news, being around certain people or situations. We do have control over this, although I know some situations are more challenging than others, especially when it comes to loved ones and family, this is where boundaries come in....which is a whole other topic!

As I mentioned in the video, thoughts become feelings, feelings become behaviours and behaviours become actions......So my friend, the question is, can you tackle these thoughts?!!! Give it a try. πŸ™πŸΌ

I'm going to be doing plenty of hiking over the next few months. I'll be at a variety of locations, but mostly Scotland - bagging as many Munros' as possible, Essex and Snowdon.

I think it's great for the soul. I always feel epic after a long walk. Sometimes I'll be walking with my husband, daughter and/or friends.

If you'd like to join me, drop me a message.

I always carry a first aid kit, plenty of extra clothing/kit etc and a sat phone - mobile phone signal isn't always reliable.

You don't need to have all the answers right now.

Can you just take the next step? It doesn't matter how small it is....one step at a time. πŸ«‚β£οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Sometimes the path becomes clearer the further you walk, like a country lane. Trust the process, there's no rush, you're exactly where you're meant to be.

You've got this. πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ”₯

The quote is from The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy. I'd highly recommend reading it, it's a brilliant book. ❣️

When you're going through really tough, difficult situations in life, you won't always have the energy to fight it head on......and that's ok!!!

Most of the time it's about surviving, protecting your energy and sanity. Just one tiny step at a time, one after the other.

Have you read The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy? I'd highly recommend it, anyways, there's a quote:-

β€œI don’t know what to do.”
β€œJust take the next step,” said the horse.

This has helped me on a number of occasions πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ£οΈ. At times, I have felt lost, like I'm in the woods and it's really foggy...I don't know which way to turn and then I remind myself to 'just take the next step'.

You're stronger than you know. Rest when you need to. Protect yourself. Just keep going. πŸ«‚

You have got this. ❣️πŸ”₯

How do you keep yourself on track, especially when you're tired, fed up and can't be bothered?

I tend to sign up for challenges, charity related so I feel accountable to get the training done and stick to my goals. I also commit to meeting other people, which means I can't change my mind and let them down - of course if it's for a genuine reason, that's different. But if it's because I can't be bothered, that's not going to happen.

What are your thoughts on this? What works for you? πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ”₯

I love listening to James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits. If I'm needing a kick up the backside, some inspiration or something that challenges my thinking, I head to his socials.

Have you read the book, or know of him too?

This is another one of his quotes and it certainly made me think.

Is there anything you could double or halve to make your life more meaningful, fulfilling or even fun!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»β£οΈ
