Good Morning to everyone 😊
I hope you are all well and keeping safe.
It has been a while now since I have been able to re open, start working again and see all my lovely regular clients, and welcome new ones.

Today, Monday 19th July, most restrictions are lifting and this includes the wearing of face masks and all social distancing measures.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I will be continuing with all safety and hygiene measures regarding cleaning, and this will include for each client, the wearing of a new apron, gloves and I shall continue to wear a mask.

It has been left to individuals and businesses to make their own decisions and policies regarding this and I am requesting that due to the fact social distancing is not possible and I am working with you in a small space, that you as my client will also wear a mask or face covering.

I have taken the decision to do this to keep myself and everyone as safe as I possibly can.

Unfortunately Covid numbers are still rising and the lifting of restrictions today, is still causing anxiety and worry, especially for the vulnerable and the unvaccinated.

I myself have both vulnerable family members and clients, plus I am sure many of us also have elderly relatives we want to consider and keep safe.

For that reason I would ask that all clients will continue with the wearing of masks/face coverings for the time being whilst attending your appointment.

I hope that you agree with this decision and appreciate my reasons for this.

Hello to all my wonderful regular and potential new clients 🤗 .... Well here we go again - hopefully!!
As of 12th April unless there are any changes, I shall be available to take appointments for Massage - to help soothe away all those Lockdown stresses and anxieties, and also appointments for all those of you that have decided you really really do appreciate that the little discomfort of a waxing is preferable to looking like a Wookiee!
As before, a few sensible precautions regarding covid will be in place - I’m pretty sure we are all familiar with this by now:
•Hand washing and/or sanitizer is available and required on arrival for appointments.
•It will still be necessary to wear a Face mask prior to entering property (sorry, but yes even if you have been vaccinated) and throughout all treatments - I can supply a face mask if you forget
•No drinks can be provided so please bring a drink if you need to, that you can have once treatment is complete
•No facial massage is included during massage treatments for now
•This list isn’t exhaustive and is subject to changes as required by law and appropriate governing body’s

I shall of course take all the usual precautions required such as extra ventilating, sanitising and cleaning of all areas and equipment before, between and after all clients, alongside all normal personal precautions such as gloves, aprons etc

So looking forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future !

Hello to all my lovely clients,
both regular and potential new ones.
As you have likely heard by now, lockdown restrictions are lifting next week and we (Southend) go into Tier 2 which means I can work again 😃
The same safety measures, applicable to the treatments I offer (that were in place after last lockdown)
will still apply as I’m sure you realise - masks mandatory and sanitizer/hand washing essential.

Hi everyone,
To all of you patiently waiting for massage treatments - From Monday 24th August I will be starting them again! There will obviously be a few changes incorporated as I'm sure you are aware, and these will include (but not necessarily be limited to) the following ....
The wearing of a face mask - I appreciate this may take a bit of getting used to, especially when face down in the head cradle, but I am afraid is mandatory.
No facial massage at all will currently be included in the treatment, and some other massage techniques especially during Lomi, that require closer bodywork will also have to be adapted accordingly. You will still benefit from the massage, and this will just be a temporary measure to maintain safety for us all.
Please let me know if you would like to book. It is advisable to give as much notice as possible as appointments are limited at the moment, to allow extra time for sanitising and ventilating the room between clients.

Just so that you’re all aware when coming for treatment, I’ll need you to sign a new consultation form even if you have been to me before. It will include a statement saying that you have read and understand both our roles and responsibilities regarding safety and guidelines surrounding the current situation with Covid-19
A copy of same is printed below.

CLIENT/THERAPIST UPDATES/PROTOCOLS & RELEASE OF LIABILITY COVID-19

We are all aware that these are uncertain times. The risks of Covid-19 are still not completely understood and there is controversy on how the virus can spread and difficulty in determining whether anyone has the virus at any moment in time.

In consideration for my providing either waxing or massage treatments, by signing your Pre-Treatment Consultation Form, you agree to accept all responsibility for the risk that there is a possibility that you may contract Covid-19.

While I take both your safety, and that of my own very seriously and by employing new safety and sanitation initiatives, I cannot guarantee that any of these measures will completely protect you or I from contracting Covid -19

I shall be following all Government and NHS guidelines with regards to opening and working safely, and am committed to providing the highest standards during this challenging time.

The following measures will be in place upon reopening for treatments.They will be subject to change as required by Government guidelines, and it is your responsibility as a client requiring treatment, to check for these changes and ensure you understand them and if necessary ask for clarification.

As your Therapist:
I shall ensure that the room used for treatments is kept clean and that all hard furnishings are disinfected at the beginning and end of each day.

Any un-necessary soft furnishings such as cushions/table coverings shall be removed.

Any towels or cushions required for treatments will be as always, one client use only, and washed at a minimum of 60 degrees before re use.

Wherever possible, disposable items shall be used.

The treatment couch will be washed and disinfected/sanitised between each client. As will any tools that are not disposable.

The room will be ventilated and there will be a minimum of an hour between each clients booking.

I shall maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and will wear a new face mask, apron and gloves for each client.

As my Client:
It is required of you to wash your hands upon arrival of your appointment, and hand sanitiser is also available if necessary for your use.

Only bring to the appointment any absolutely necessary personal items.

Please use an approved mask or face covering during your appointment. I can not guarantee that I can supply these and so recommend that you bring your own.

Please also for the time being, bring your own drink if necessary (and take away any remaining).

If you are feeling unwell for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me to cancel your appointment. No charges will be made even for late cancellation in these circumstances.

Failure to Comply with these instructions or any further verbal instructions from myself may result in having your Appointment Terminated.

Hello Everyone,
As you’re possibly aware, as of tomorrow salons are able to open and that includes home based ones like me 😃
I still have a few of the guidelines to put in place, and am pleased to say that I shall be back at work w/c 20th July albeit initially just for waxing appointments.
I do apologise to all of you wanting massage treatments, but will resume when I’m absolutely sure it is safe enough to do so, so please bear with me!
Am really looking forward to seeing you all again soon - in the ‘new normal’ environment.

Hi to all of you - I hope you are all keeping safe and well!
I have had a large number of enquiries about whether I’m open this week - unfortunately that’s not the case, as hairdressers, salons and anyone in the beauty therapy business are not classed as shops and cannot socially distance.
At the moment July 4th is being given as a possible date for the hairdressing profession to re start and so hopefully it will not be too long after that, that I will be able to start taking waxing appointments. Massage for obvious reasons will probably be a bit later.
I thank you all for your patience and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

To all my wonderful existing clients and potential new ones - It is with much regret that I have taken the decision to stop working for the time being, in order to maintain a level of social distancing that can’t be met with the nature of my work.
I thank you all for your support and understanding at such a time and hope to be back with you as soon as this worrying time is over!
