We recently started running online peer support groups for parents of PDAers as a way to build community and share learning with people in a similar situation.

These sessions are completely free for monthly or annual subscribers to our PDA Training Hub. And to make them as inclusive as possible, we've also introduced an on-demand option so you can drop in to the sessions that are relevant to you.

Coming up soon we've got:

- February 24th where we'll focus on education and school avoidance: https://ow.ly/wvyP50YcqsJ
- March 17th where we'll talk about supporting siblings of PDAers: https://ow.ly/NUNb50YcqsC

We hope to see you there!

February feels like a long way away now - but we wanted to let you know about our next course for parents and carers.

These courses are always very popular and sell fast. Whether your child is formally diagnosed, self-identified or you're just exploring, you're welcome to join us.

We run these is a very flexible way - you can have your camera off or catch up on the recording later. You can book today through the PDA Training Hub: https://ow.ly/agIC50XMBeg

Do you ever feel like your brain and body are running at full tilt, even when you’re trying to rest? For many people with ADHD, sensory overload, emotional overwhelm, and burnout aren’t separate issues — they’re all part of how the nervous system processes the world.

ADHD brains often take in more sensory information and struggle to filter what isn’t important. Sounds, lights, busy environments, and constant demands can quickly become overwhelming, leading to irritability, shutdown, or deep exhaustion.

ADHD also affects emotional and stress regulation. This can mean strong reactions, difficulty calming down, and feeling constantly “on edge” — even in everyday situations. Over time, this ongoing strain can contribute to burnout, especially for women, where exhaustion, emotional numbness, and difficulty coping with daily tasks become the norm.

This isn’t a personal failing, and it’s not “all in your head.” These are real nervous system patterns linked to ADHD.

Understanding what’s happening is often the first step toward support — learning to work with your nervous system through pacing, sensory breaks, structure, and regulation strategies that actually fit ADHD brains.

✨ ADHD Assessment is just the beginning — aftercare is where real change happens. ✨

At ADHD Wellbeing Solutions, we don’t just assess and discharge.
We walk alongside you *after* diagnosis, when families and adults often feel most overwhelmed.

Our aftercare includes:
✔️ A detailed, clear assessment report you can confidently share with schools, GPs, employers, or other professionals.
✔️ A formal diagnostic letter to your GP.
✔️ Letters and evidence for schools, colleges, and universities.
✔️Helping schools access funding so staff can receive the training they need to support your child.
✔️ Practical support with needs assessments and EHCPs.
✔️ A designated care coordinator.
✔️ Referrals and signposting to other services where needed.
✔️ Guidance around Access to Work and education support.
✔️ Ongoing signposting, community links and local support networks.

We focus on real-world impact — not just ticking diagnostic boxes.

📅 Appointments available within the next 2–4 weeks!
🏡 Face-to-face in comfortable, welcoming consultation rooms.
💻 Virtual appointments available.
🏫 School or home-based assessments for children (where preferred and appropriate).

Whether you’re a parent seeking clarity, a young person needing advocacy, or an adult finally joining the dots — you don’t have to do this alone.

💬 Message us to book or to ask questions.
Because diagnosis should open doors — not leave you wondering what to do next.

ADHD Burnout: AKA “My Brain Has Left the Chat” 🤯

If you’ve been wondering why it’s been eerily quiet around here lately… don’t worry, we haven’t been abducted by aliens 🛸 or lost in a sea of paperwork (well… maybe a little).

Truth is, ADHD burnout hit hard.

You know that feeling when your brain has 73 tabs open, the music won’t stop playing somewhere and you’ve forgotten what you were doing halfway through doing it?

Yeah. That. But for weeks.

Between client sessions, new projects, admin chaos, health and the general whirlwind that is life with ADHD, my executive function said:

“Nope. I'm buffering. Please try again later.”

So, I listened!

I've been refuelling, decluttering my brain (and desk… kind of), and remembering that rest is productive too.

ADHD burnout is real — it’s what happens when you’ve been masking, multitasking and over-functioning for way too long. The cure? Boundaries, naps, snacks and a solid “do not disturb” face. 😴🍫(Doesn't work for everyone, I know).

I'm slowly re-emerging from the chaos with caffeine, compassion and some exciting updates on the way — once I've finished rebooting.

Appointments are still available to book after some tweaks.

💬 Drop a comment if you’ve ever accidentally “rested” for three weeks straight :)

Oh big one, I have been completely stopped from commenting on Bridget’s facebook posts. 👇🏼 see image!
I know that Jenn Has had the same happen to her!

Edited to add apparently it’s not just us- still it speaks volumes doesn’t it!!

Silenced, But Still Speaking

I hit “comment,” not “chaos.”
I hit “truth,” not “troll.”
But they still came down hard,
delete, restrict, remove, control.

Because nothing threatens power
like a mother who won’t shut up.
Nothing terrifies a system
like the sound of lived experience
echoing through their echo chambers.

They call it moderation.
I call it censorship.
They call it policy.
I call it fear,
fear of what happens
when the people they failed
start finding their voices again.

I spoke for children
who have been left waiting in corridors,
for parents drowning in paperwork
while ministers smile for cameras.
I spoke truth,
and truth, apparently,
isn’t welcome under posts
with polished PR lines
and fake empathy.

They can silence your comments
but not your cause.
They can block my account
but not my courage.
They can shut me out
but they can’t shut me up,
because I’ve learned to roar
from the edges.

And i’ll keep roaring.
For the ones who can’t.
For the children who deserve more
than empty promises
and attendance threats.
For the parents who are tired
of fighting systems
that claim to care
while closing their eyes.

Bridget, if you’re listening,
you can restrict the messenger,
but the message will multiply.
You can click “hide,”
but we are still here.
We are the mothers,
the carers,
the advocates,
the ones you underestimated.

We are not your silence.
We are your reckoning.

Michaela.
