We are healthcare professionals who specialise in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, to help you recover and stay pain-free long term.

🔑 Key Roles of a Sports Therapist

1️⃣ Injury Prevention
- Assess movement patterns, posture, and biomechanics to spot risks.
- Provide exercise programmes to reduce the chance of injuries.
- Offer advice on warm-up, cool-down, and load management.
2️⃣ Injury Assessment & Diagnosis
- Examine injuries (like sprains, strains, back or shoulder pain).
- Perform special tests to identify what tissue/structure is affected.
- Explain injuries clearly to clients and outline recovery expectations.
3️⃣ Treatment & Rehabilitation
- Use hands-on techniques such as sports massage, joint mobilisations, or stretching.
- Provide exercise rehabilitation programmes to restore strength, mobility, balance, and function.
- Help clients progress from initial recovery through to full return to activity.
4️⃣ Sports Massage & Soft Tissue Therapy
- Reduce muscle tension and soreness.
- Aid recovery post-training or competition.
- Improve circulation and flexibility.
5️⃣ Performance Support
- Work with athletes during training/competitions to manage niggles and maintain peak condition.
- Apply taping or strapping techniques for support.
- Give advice on nutrition, hydration, and recovery strategies.
6️⃣ First Aid & Acute Injury Management
- Respond to injuries pitch-side or in training environments.
- Provide immediate care (e.g., for sprains, dislocations, concussion).

London Marathon Runners, GOOD LUCK! 🏃🏼‍♀️

Wishing everyone taking part in the 2025 London Marathon tomorrow, the best of luck. We will be cheering you all on in admiration 👏🏻

Here’s just some top tips to remember on marathon day:

🔸Stick to your routine – Don’t try anything new: no new shoes, clothes, breakfast, or supplements.

🔸Get there early – Allow plenty of time for parking, bathroom stops, and finding your start area.

🔸Eat a good breakfast – Something you know works for you, ideally 2–3 hours before the race.

🔸Stay hydrated, but don’t overdrink – Sip water as needed, and trust your thirst.

🔸Pace yourself – Start slower than you feel like you should. The marathon is all about patience.

🔸Trust your training – You’ve put in the work; don’t second-guess yourself on race day.

🔸Have a fueling plan – Know when you’ll take gels, chews, or other nutrition during the race.

🔸Use the bathroom before the start – Even if you don’t feel like you have to go.

🔸Enjoy the atmosphere – Take in the crowds, high-five some kids, and remember to smile, it actually helps you run better!
