We arrange funerals that reflect and incorporate the wishes of the individual, family and friends. We can advise on cremations and burials, choice of coffins and flower arrangements. We can even arrange to have the service at home or other suitable venue instead of the usual crematorium chapel service. So whether it is a simple funeral, a traditional funeral, an alternative funeral or an extravagant occasion, we are able to provide you with a totally personal and completely bespoke service. All our staff are fully trained, professional, sensitive and with genuine compassion to help you. Rest assured your calls will be taken with complete confidentiality. We can also arrange for a home visit if you are unable to come to us. Nothing is too much trouble and we pride ourselves on the service we provide feeling privileged to be chosen to take your loved one on their final journey. On behalf of Paul, Lucy, Kerrie and Nicola, Mayfields Funeral Directors would like to invite old and new friends to our Christmas Remembrance Time on Thursday 18th December 2025.

Our funeral home will be open for a cup of tea or coffee, a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

There will be an opportunity to place a card or tag on our memorial tree.

We also have out 'Letters TO Heaven' post box in the funeral home. This provides an opportunity to write a letter to your loved one, saying everything that you would as if they were still with you.

Mayfields Funeral Directors, we are often asked whether we provide 'direct or non-attendance' funerals. Sadly, many people think that only the company's on TV or through magazine advertising provide them.

This is not the case.

We are pleased to provide direct or non-attendance funerals.

indeed, we are pleased to arranged direct or non-attendance funerals at any of the local crematoria. We will also dress your loved one in their own clothes and provide our contemplation room for you to spend time with them. You will always be told when the funeral will take place and at what time.

We provide direct or non-attendance funerals, simple funerals or tailored funerals. Your choice, your decision.

Congratulations to our Lady Funeral Directors Mrs Kerrie Davey and Miss Lucy Thomason on receiving their Diploma's in Funeral Directing.

And a lovely photograph of them both in their Cap & Gown for their Diploma presentations.

Both Kerrie and Lucy have worked extremely hard to gain their Diploma qualifications. Testament to providing the highest possible standards in funeral directing.
