Mayfields Funeral Directors, a funeral home wholly owned by South Downs Funeral Service of Denmead, Clanfield & Wickham.

On the 27th February 2026, my co-director Mr Martin Lee-Bapty retired from his role as Non-Executive Director, and so I am now the sole owner of the company.

So, we remain a truly local, independent and family owned funeral company carrying for our local communities.

Together with the wonderful people I work with, we will take Mayfields Funeral Director and South Downs Funeral Service into the future promising the highest possible standards of care and support.

Our funeral homes are open until 4.30pm today, New Years Eve.

We then provide a 24 hours service which will be answered by either Paul, Kerrie, Lucy or Nicola, not a call centre many miles away.
