As Xolani is a big part of our disability department I felt it was important to do this post.
We visited parliament yesterday for APDAWG "paws for access" event
An assistance dog isn't a pet dog they are an important part of their handlers lives. They come in all shapes, sizes and breeds and do anything from helping someone with PTSD, medical detection, guide and mobility assistance.
As assistance dog owners we get refused access to places on a regular basis even though that is breaking the law. Only yesterday a bus driver was telling me there was no room but I am now confident enough to stand my ground and I boarded that bus. Education is the key to try and reduce and eradicate this from happening as these dogs are our life line to be able to do what most take for granted.

We had a Halloween session and our player of the week was Ella. Ella's confidence was knocked in our last tournament but she's come back fighting! Well done Ella!

Mondays football session was a great one! The effort they all made was brilliant. The match was so fast paced with great shooting, defending and some fantastic saves both in match and in the shootout!

Great session on Friday with Oaktree Farm Care
Pete got his player of the match not for the actual game but for some fantastic skill to manage to kick his ball (without much effort!) into the basketball net! Shame we didn't get it on camera! Rehman had a great game with some fantastic goals. Well done all!

Great Oaktree Farm Care Friday session! Well done to Dan for getting player of the week 2 great goals!!
We did some skills before the game which involved a lot of concentration everyone did awesome at remembering what number indicated what skill they did!
