Join me for Chair Based Yoga 🪑
☀️Wednesdays, 10.45 - 12noon at Stones Methodist Church, Ripponden, HX6 4LA
☀️Thursdays, 1.30 - 2.45pm at St Peters Community Centre, Sowerby, HX6 1HB
These Chair Based Yoga classes are ideal if you’re living with health conditions, have mobility challenges, or simply prefer a gentler way to keep active without having to get up and down from the floor.
I’ve trained with the British Wheel of Yogas Gentle Years Yoga programme—a specialist, evidence-based approach designed to help you feel steady, comfortable, and confident in your movement and rest.
With the support of a chair, each class gently adapts traditional yoga poses so you can join in at a pace that feels right for you. It’s a safe and enjoyable way to look after body and mind. Here’s what you can expect:
✅Improve your strength, balance, and flexibility gently and steadily
✅Learn simple ways to manage health conditions and move with ease
✅Build confidence and reduce the risk of falls
✅Feel calmer and more focused with breathing and relaxation practises
These classes are welcoming, friendly, and supportive. They’re a space where you can enjoy moving, breathing, and resting, while taking time for yourself. You’ll leave feeling calmer, more at ease, and more confident in what your body can do.
Classes are £8, or £40 for a block of 6 consecutive classes.
