Join me to welcome in the light of Winter Solstice. This gentle guided meditation will encourage you to reflect, relax and renew. It will be full of hope, of releasing what no longer serves you, of finding clarity and confidence in order to step forward into 2026 and the new year ahead.

Warm your heart and revive your soul.

Beforehand:
* Create a Calm Space: Find a quiet place where you can relax uninterrupted. You could light candle or a fire if you have one, as a traditional way to symbolise bringing light into the darkness.
* Connect with Nature: Earlier in the day, try spending a few moments outdoors, even in the cold. This helps to ground you and align you with Mother Earthโ€™s natural rhythms.
* Set some intentions for the returning light and the year ahead. Write them down and keep them where you can see them.

The longest of nights
The winter solstice is often described as the shortest day of the year. By default, this makes it the longest night, and an occasion worthy of celebration and full of love.. Ancient cultures saw it as a time of rebirth, welcoming back the light โ€“ a view maintained by many to this day, a way of stepping forward into that light.

Laughter Really Is the Best Medicine

I am Tess, the Laughter Goddess and founder of In The Laughter Locker. I came to laughter yoga after a long search for something physical I could do within my mobility limitations that would also make me feel mentally, physically and emotionally good. I also wanted to pass on the benefits of this amazing exercise to others, including other ladies, who like me suffer from the debilitating condition of Lipoedema.

I now offer one to one sessions, group sessions, sessions for business Nationwide and also occasional laughter club sessions local to my home in South Lincolnshire, I have worked for health groups, the NHS, Charities, Businesses and Individuals. I know what an absolute difference laughter yoga has made to my life and want to share it with as many people as possible.

Laughter Yoga is a complete package for physical, mental, social and spiritual well being. It helps to develop a sense of humour and also to bring more childlike playfulness into our lives. Benefits can be felt from the very first session.
