Kimberley Care Village nestles in the market town of Long Sutton, and lies in the Lincolnshire Fens close to the Wash, 13 miles from Spalding. The Friday market dates back to the early 13th century and continues to draw visitors in from the surrounding areas. Long Sutton itself has a wide range of shops and is well known for floral displays that decorate the town and churches throughout spring and summer. Steeped in history Long Sutton caters for all ages and interests. Living at Kimberley really is a new beginning for you and your loved ones where specialised care is provided on one of the four specialist wings catering for dementia and residential elderly care. Kimberley is purpose built and boasts stunning lounges on each floor; all rooms are tastefully decorated and fully equipped to meet the individual needs of our residents. As you would expect there is a call bell in every room for residents to summon assistance should they need it. We encourage residents to bring in small personal effects to personalise their rooms as our aim is to make you feel at home. Kimberley has a dedicated Dementia care wing where staff training and design promote a safe and stimulating environment for people with dementia to still experience a full and active life. The importance of remaining active and independent for as long as possible is important to everyone and we support this through the work of our activities coordinator. Activities include day trips to the seaside or the zoo, meals out, shopping trips, reminiscence and music therapy, the choice is yours. We have our own minibus for trips out to places of interest like Woburn wildlife park, Skegness and Hunstanton. Carers are on duty 24 hours a day who are supported by a team of dedicated staff to ensure that the care we provide is person centred and truly supports dignity and choice. In addition to our team residents can access a range of healthcare and wellbeing services. Our team is supported by community healthcare professionals who regularly visit the Home upon request, such as GP, District Nurse, or a Podiatrist Speech and Language therapist. We recognise that everyone is different and the care we deliver reflects this. We aim to create a secure, relaxed, happy and homely atmosphere for our residents and staff.
