Just a little reminder …..
✨ Under-Eye Swelling After Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides – What’s Normal? ✨
If you’ve recently had skin boosters or polynucleotides around the eye area and you’re noticing puffiness — please don’t worry 💛
Mild peri-ocular swelling is very common with these treatments.
💧 Why does it happen?
Skin boosters and polynucleotides work by attracting water into the skin and stimulating repair. The under-eye area is delicate and naturally holds fluid, so temporary puffiness can occur as the product settles and integrates.
🕒 How long will it last?
• Small injection bumps can last 24–72 hours
• General puffiness can last a few days
• Occasionally up to 1–2 weeks in some individuals
• Often more noticeable first thing in the morning
This is part of the normal healing response ✨
🧊 What can help?
✔️ Sleep slightly elevated
✔️ Antihistamines
✔️ Keep hydrated
✔️ Reduce salt & alcohol
✔️ Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours
✔️ Be patient — the results improve as swelling settles
🚩 Please contact your practitioner urgently if you notice:
• Increasing pain
• Significant redness or warmth
• Skin colour changes
• Visual disturbance
• Swelling that is worsening rather than improving
Remember — these treatments are designed to improve skin quality over time, not overnight. A little swelling now is often part of the journey to brighter, healthier under-eyes ✨
If you’re ever unsure, message me. Reassurance is always better than worry 🤍
