Clinic reopening schedule

So the clinic will reopen on the 27th! It will have to be slightly different to normal and there is new guidelines that we will all have to embrace. These are as follows:

-Pre questionnaire of symptoms before appointment

- Patients will have to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser at the beginning and end of appointment (supplied)

- I will be also washing my hands thoroughly before and after each patient

- Single use cover on the couch and clean towels for each patient

- To make sure there is minimal chance of infection, towels will be disposable and biodegradable. Single use of normal clinic towels between washes.

-I shall be wearing all the required PPE including a face mask, face shield and gloves etc.

- All patients will have to wear a mask when attending your treatments (Can be provided at a small charge).

-I will leave 15 min gap in-between patients to deep clean the treatment area and equipment.

- There is NO cancellation fee for feeling unwell. I ask if you are feeling at unwell please avoid/cancel treatments or been in contact with someone with covid-19 symptoms

I have a waiting list of people who I will be booking in first and then after that I will be open to new bookings.

I’m expecting it to be very busy upon returning so I’ll be closing the online booking option for now to help me with scheduling under the new guidelines. So the best way to contact and book in will be to email isaacleatherland@outlook.com

Starting next week I will also be setting up from my home as a change for safety guidance of my home visit clients so anyone willing to make the trip or most likely my local home visit clients can start booking in.

I thank you all for being so patient in waiting for your treatments, I can’t wait to see you all. Let’s all look forward to wearing masks together and pretending we’re luchadores, although if anyone comes into clinic throwing feint kicks and hurricanrannas I know you don’t need treatment.

COVID-19 business update

Just to keep everyone up to date, unfortunately despite the new work regulations I’m still unable to work both in clinic or home visits.

I appreciate that many of you are in need of hands-on treatment right now, and as much as I would like to be able to offer this again unfortunately we all still need to respect social distancing and ensure that patients, friends and family members’ health is the number one priority, over and above the aches and pains they may currently have.

Anyone looking for injury advice or rehab that you can do at home (consistent rehab is always the best way to recover from injuries) send me a message or an email isaacleatherland@outlook.com

Once the situation changes I’ll let you all know.

Hope everyone is doing well and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Stay safe

Back pain and strength and conditioning for running at home

PART 2!

Core and lower body posterior chain.

GLUTES/HAMSTRINGS:
1. Glute Medius clam
2. Double and single leg glute bridge (routine of 5’s, 5 reps and 5 sec holds)
3. Hamstring bridge w/leg drive
4. Single straight leg deadlift (weight through front leg/rear leg fit balance)
5. Squat walk outs (controlled slow movements pause at the end of each position)

Anyone I’ve treated with back and hip pain start doing these and any runners I know how bad most of you are at keeping up with your exercises!!!

P.s If anyone is wondering how my isolation is going the last 2 days I’ve watched all of One Punch Man and I’m now considering shaving my head. So it’s going well👍

Back pain rehab and strength and conditioning for running at home

PART 1!
Core and lower body posterior chain

I know a lot of you tend to neglect your S&C work. Here’s a good few options to try while you’re isolating at home now that you have more than enough time. Done correctly they should be difficult and work very effectively

CORE:
1. Dead bug variations
2. Bird dog variations
3. Side plank with hip abduction

Anyone I’ve treated with back and hip pain start doing these and any runners, I know how bad most of you are at keeping up with your exercises!!!

PART 2 for glute and hamstring strengthening will post later

Hi Everyone!

I’m now having to cancel all my services including home visits, any advice on injuries or exercises I’d be happy to answer

I cant risk contributing to the spread of the virus or getting it myself.

I really hope you all stay safe and listen to the guidelines from the government

In the meantime I’ll be focusing on posting some rehab and strength and conditioning videos, so any request on specific injury rehab or sport conditioning from home give me some suggestions on the comments

I will be adopting strict hygiene regime to ensure your health and obviously would ask that anyone booking be completely free from symptoms of COVID-19 and their household.

Anyone who has an appointment currently booked in I will be in contact with by email.

Finally I hope everyone stays safe and healthy I look forward to seeing you all again soon
