As Antimicrobial Awareness Week comes to a close, we’re celebrating everyone who’s made a pledge to help combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

“I will champion Antibiotic Guardian within my team and organisation by encouraging others to pledge.” Chris Sharp, Head of Infection Prevention and Control

Becoming an Antibiotic Guardian is a simple but powerful way to protect antibiotics for the future.

If you haven’t yet made your pledge, there’s still time every commitment counts in the fight against AMR.

Antimicrobial Awareness Week continues!

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the biggest threats to global health and we all have a role to play in tackling it.

“I will ensure that our senior leaders and board members are informed about our antimicrobial stewardship plans and are actively championing our approach to antimicrobial resistance.” Kate Howard, Chief Nurse and AHP Officer

By raising awareness and embedding antimicrobial stewardship into everyday practice, we can help protect patients, families, and communities for generations to come.

💙 It’s Mental Health First Aiders Day! 💙

We’re celebrating the 24 amazing MHFAiders at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust who give their time to support colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing.

Our MHFAiders are here to listen, care and signpost to support when things feel tough. CCS staff search 'Mental Health' on the intranet for more information on our MHFAs and how to get involved.

Thank you to all our MHFAiders – you make a huge difference 🌟

Today, we came together at Norwich Community Hospital’s main reception to honour and remember.

NCH&C held a moving ceremony led by Dom, Chair of NCH&C’s Armed Forces Aware Group, alongside Clare, Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust Armed Forces Community Lead. Staff gathered to observe a two-minute silence, taking time to remember those who served and did not return.

We also commemorated the 26 civilians who tragically lost their lives at The Lodge, Woodlands Hospital, during the bombing raids of April 1942, and reflected on our own loved ones who have been lost through conflict.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, wewill remember them.
