🎄✨ A Huge Thank You from Manor House! ✨🎄

What a truly wonderful time we had at our Christmas Fair – it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and new ones joining us to celebrate the festive season together. The home was filled with laughter, Christmas cheer and a lovely sense of community throughout the day.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the event, from families and friends to our wider community. Your kindness, generosity and festive spirit helped make the day so special for our residents. 💛

Recently at Manor House… we’ve been mixing things up!

The residents have enjoyed a fun-filled week with two very different (but equally brilliant!) activities - baking and cheerleading!

👩‍🍳 Baking Session:
There’s nothing like the smell of fresh treats in the home. Residents rolled up their sleeves, mixed, stirred and created some delicious bakes to enjoy together. Activities like these spark conversation, boost creativity and bring a wonderful sense of achievement.

📣 Cheerleading Fun:
Yes, you read that right! We had a lively cheerleading session complete with pom-poms, movement, big smiles and lots of laughter. It's a brilliant way to stay active, lift spirits and bring everyone together for some energising fun.

These moments remind us how important variety, joy and shared experiences are for wellbeing 💛

Recently at Manor House, we were treated to a fabulous performance by the wonderful Allie Ivy and what an afternoon it was!

Residents loved singing along, tapping their feet and enjoying the uplifting atmosphere Allie brought with her beautiful voice and warm energy. The room was filled with smiles, music and plenty of happy memories being made.

Live entertainment is such an important part of life here at Manor House, bringing joy, connection and a real boost to wellbeing.

A huge thank you to Allie Ivy for a brilliant performance, we can’t wait to welcome you back again! 🎤🌟

Recently at Manor House, we were delighted to welcome Simply Shetland Ponies, who brought along the adorable Tinkerbell and Tallulah to meet the residents.

These gentle little ponies brought so much joy, comfort and excitement as they trotted around the home, greeting everyone with their sweet nature and soft noses. Residents absolutely loved spending time with them, stroking their fluffy coats, chatting to the handlers and enjoying the peaceful, calming presence the ponies brought with them.

Animal visits like this are incredibly therapeutic, offering emotional connection, sensory engagement and pure happiness.

We’re delighted to share that our Friendship Group at Manor House is going from strength to strength. Hosted by Chris and Geoff, husbands of residents living here at Manor House, the session creates a warm and supportive space for open conversation, shared experiences and genuine connection.

It was lovely to see people come together, support one another and enjoy a friendly chat.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the next session on the first Tuesday of the month. 🎃🍪 Reminiscing on Our Halloween Baking Fun! 🍪🎃

We’ve been reminiscing about the spooktacular Halloween cookies the residents made last week and how they were delicious! 👻

From mixing and baking to decorating with icing and sprinkles, everyone had a wonderful time getting creative in the kitchen. Activities like this always bring plenty of laughter, conversation and a lovely sense of accomplishment (not to mention some tasty treats to enjoy afterwards!). 💛

🍂 What a wonderful and busy week we’ve had at The Manor House! 🍂

We’ve been busy celebrating birthdays, baking, getting Autumn-ready, and spending some creative time together decorating our very own plant pots, now proudly brightening up our home!

We’ve also enjoyed some fantastic live entertainment, and our talented residents have been getting into the spirit of the season with spooky Halloween decorations, all carefully crafted by hand.
