Gingerbread Makers & Christmas Chat

We kicked things off by making our own gingerbread men… not for eating, these are cardboard ornaments, so no nibbling!
And carried on building the crawler park obstacles - with some very skilful driving techniques being tested and perfected

We also had the all-important chat about the Naughty or Nice list and shared everyone’s Christmas whiishes

A fun, festive, cosy day.

Mini Advent Magic & Maker Mayhem

Some more amazing work today on our Mini Advent Trees.

Mark smashed it with a super Killer Whale notebook cover 🐋

Ben has begun crafting a luxury box for his Harry Potter wand (fancy stuff!) and kept the theme going with the Hogwarts Castle build 🏰

Mae finished her lantern too - brilliant

All this creativity happening while the weather outside sounded like a scene from a disaster movie - bangs, crashes, things flying past the windows 🌧️
But inside? Smiles, laughs and pure maker-space magic.

THE WRAP-O-MATIC IS READY FOR DELIVERY!

Today we officially finished our fantastical WRAP-O-MATIC machine (NSPCC Toy collection box) - and it’s now all packaged up, strapped in, and ready for safe delivery to JCB Power Systems on Monday.

Huge shout-out to everyone who helped bring this bonkers idea to life… and an even bigger thank you to our fearless ‘delivery drivers’ (Ant and Sue)

🎄 The WRAP-O-MATIC is born! 🤖

Today one of our students brought in a Mamod steam engine — what a brilliant little machine! We had great fun watching this working model puff away in the hall 🚂

Our Mini Advent Trees are coming along nicely…
and we’ve been asked to design a ‘cover’ for a Toy Collection Box for Power Systems (JCB) — the donated toys will go to the NSPCC to help make Christmas extra special for children in need 🎁💛

of course… being Makers we couldn’t resist going full Wallace & Gromit with it — introducing our latest creation: the WRAP-O-MATIC! 🛠️🎁😂
