In June, Diane Goodwin (Head of Nursing in ALD and Clinical Team Lead), Alex Warner (Acute Liaison Nurse and CLDN) and Sharon Bath (CLDN) attended & spoke at Wolverhampton University for their Celebration of Learning Disability Week.

The event was well attended by Wolverhampton students, and they asked some great questions.

The event was held to celebrate the launch of the team's coproduced immersive VR experience - designed to help those leaving secure care to plan for independent living.

This year, trainers from National Autistic Society, supported by Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, have been providing 'Neurodiversity in Health & Justice Services' training 💬

Increasing the understanding of and , associated specific vulnerabilities and providing supportive strategies.

Yesterday, the last training session of 2025 was held in Nottingham - we look forward to the additional sessions being planned for 2026 👏
