Meadowfields is a 65 bed en-suite care home in the picturesque area of Great Haywood Meadowfields Care Home was purchased by Northgate Healthcare in March 2015.

A major refurbishment program has begun, all aspects of the home are being looked at with a new management structure put into place. All areas of the care home will be tastefully brought up to our high standard. Meadowfields Care Home is a 65 bed en-suite care home situated in the picturesque area of Great Haywood, Stafford. Situated between Rugeley and Stafford (roughly 5 miles each way), it has lovely views of the surrounding fields and countryside. We encourage visits to see the quality of the care that residents receive while residing in our homes, the care manager will gladly show you round the home and explain what we can offer. Appointments do not need to be made, but we cannot guarantee the manager will be available due to prior appointments. A member of the senior team will be able to show you round and answer your questions.

We have been continuing with decorating the lounges today with our 2nd Christmas tree, which our residents have been complimenting in already and has helped spark some conversations about what we like the most during the festive season.

We've also been doing some arts and crafts today as well as some singalongs, and this afternoon was spent doing some balloon games, which our residents always love!

If you visited us today, you may have seen our staff in pyjamas! Today is Children in Need, so we have been wearing our jammies in order to raise money to donate. Thank you to those who have done so, and thank you to all the staff that took part!

As today is world kindness day we have been around and asked our residents what they are grateful for and their favourite act of kindness. We've had some lovely answers, and we hope you love them to ❤️

This afternoon, we have also been making use of our new games in the games room , and you may see some festive additions being added over the next few days 🎄

And in honour of our residents, we are grateful we get to share these moments with you all - we look forward to continuing doing so!

Today, we have been celebrating Olwen's birthday! A massive happy birthday, and we hope you've had a great day!

As well as birthday celebrations, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Beth Belle back to our home for an afternoon of singing! We've had an amazing hour of singing and dancing and waving our flags in the air!

We even had some of our favourite 4 legged friends join us today! We always love seeing you Bonnie and Bennie!

Today has been a very busy day for us!

We were very kindly given some roses, so we have put them into vases and put them around the home for everyone to enjoy. Whilst we did the flowers, we watched some highlights from Sunday at the cenotaph and observed the 2 minutes silence.

Flowers was followed by fitness with Christian, and today was a very good workout! Everyone did their best, and we had a great time!

We've also celebrated two birthdays today! A very happy birthday to Natalia and Phil! We hope you've had a great day!

And finally, we had our rememberance service today. We would like to thank everyone who joined us today ❤️

Today, we have had our third activities coordinator join Toni and Emily, so we would like to extend a warm welcome to Sam!

We've gotten straight into it this morning with a trip to Shugborough where we had a walk around the gardens and a lovely cuppa before heading home for lunch.

This afternoon, Toni has been introducing Sam to our residents, and Emily has been doing some manicures 💅

We've also checked up on the progress of the cress we planted last week, and we are seeing some sprouts coming through. So we look forward to seeing how it continues to grow.

Today has been a day of rememberance. We have spent the morning watching the BBC coverage of the cenotaph, reminiscing and observing the 2 minutes silence.

This afternoon, we have done some colouring in with some pages that represent today.

On the tea trolley, we also had some homemade cupcakes with special rememberance day pictures on them.

We've also seen a bird of prey on our field today, so we've also done a spot of bird watching.

We will also take this time to remind you that our special service will be on Tuesday between 2-3pm if you would like to join us. If you are, please ensure you arrive a little early so that we can get you a seat sorted (or please let us know below and we can accommodate)

Our last few days have been nice and productive. We've been decorating for rememberance day, playing some balloon games, doing some painting and planting some cress!

We've also met our new friend Bennie who came and visited us! We do love seeing animals!

Our church service this month will be on Tuesday and it will be a rememberance service. We welcome any family members who would like to join us and our residents for it. The service is held between 2-3pm.

Thank you to everyone who came tonight or donated prior!

Despite the weather, we managed to get some fireworks going 🎇

Our raffle was drawn, and the only outstanding prizes to collect are for Trevor and Georgina! You can collect from activities when you're next in 😁

We had a good time and we hope you did too!

Today we wish Peter a very happy birthday 🎂 we hope you've had a lovely day!

We've also been busy getting ourselves ready for tomorrow! Raffle tickets are still available to buy! We will draw the winners towards the end of the evening.

Today, we have been doing all things spooky!

We've been busy doing collages in the lounge and watching halloweeny movies! The kitchen has also provided us with plenty of spooky treats to enjoy.

The staff have also been dressing up for the occasion! Our residents have enjoyed laughing at us as we've gone around today! Toni remembered to take photos of everyone but herself, so our lovely Olive took one for her

Our winner for the best costume was Donna! You looked fab!

Today, we have had a very lively game or two of halloween bingo 🎃 we always love a good game of bingo (or two or three!)

And this afternoon we celebrated Hilda's birthday! Happy birthday 🎂 Hilda! We hope you've had a good day!
