Meadowfields Care Home Meadowfields is a 65 bed en-suite care home in the picturesque area of Great Haywood Meadowfields Care Home was purchased by Northgate Healthcare in March 2015.

A major refurbishment program has begun, all aspects of the home are being looked at with a new management structure put into place. All areas of the care home will be tastefully brought up to our high standard. Meadowfields Care Home is a 65 bed en-suite care home situated in the picturesque area of Great Haywood, Stafford. Situated between Rugeley and Stafford (roughly 5 miles each way), it has lovely views of the surrounding fields and countryside. We encourage visits to see the quality of the care that residents receive while residing in our homes, the care manager will gladly show you round the home and explain what we can offer. Appointments do not need to be made, but we cannot guarantee the manager will be available due to prior appointments. A member of the senior team will be able to show you round and answer your questions.

On the 9th day of Christmas activities brought to me... a church service and carols 🎶

We've been busy preparing our next fundraising events today! Please ensure you book into our second afternoon tea if you missed out the first time! We are also holding our christmas fete at Great Haywood Memorial Hall on the 22nd of December. And of course we have the Hixon run of Santa this Thursday! Tell everyone santa is on his way!

This afternoon, we have had our monthly church service. This month we also did carol singing so we've been singing along together ❤️ a reminder that our church service is held the second Tuesday of each month and we are always happy to see family members so please feel free to join us.

Due to overwhelming popular demand we are offering a 2nd date for afternoon tea!

If you missed out the first time now is your chance to grab a space for the 19th December! Please let activities know by Friday if you are attending and any dietary requirements so that we can accommodate!

On that afternoon we also have the ukulele group in to entertain our residents so we hope to see you there!

A slightly late update for today but weve been busy little elves!

Yesterday's advent activity was a movie day! Perfect for taking it nice and easy on a Sunday!

Today we have spent the morning getting our nails done followed by the 8th day of christmas activities said to me 'let's do a quiz or three'. Always a favourite with our residents!

And finally our elves accompanied santa around Great Haywood where we spread some good cheer and helped raise some funds towards our activities!

Phew!

On the 6th day of Christmas twas a musical kind of day 🎶

We've had a few rounds of name that tune where we sang and danced the morning away 🕺💃

This afternoon was our advent activity of Carol singing. We got the song sheets out and belted out the words together. For some of us, this really reminded us of our school years, so we've also had some discussions about the songs we were singing, so this made a lovely reminiscent activity as well.

On the 5th day of Christmas activities gave to me....a bunch of fun games to do! 🎾 Today, we have been having a mini competition of residents against activities with our new bean bag tossing game and also a few classics like dominoes and balloon games! As always, we've had some lively competition, and our residents won each game!

We've also had some relaxing today with some colouring in and christmas movies to balance it all out!

We spent the morning crafting festive cards, spreading joy with a few heartfelt messages written especially for our residents — they were delighted with their early Christmas wishes.

To finish the day, we turned up the fun with music bingo! There was dancing, singing, plenty of laughter… and of course, a very happy winner! 🎶✨
