👩🏼‍⚕️ World Diabetes Day 👩🏼‍⚕️

World Diabetes Day (WDD) is the world's largest diabetes awareness campaign reaching a global audience of over 1 billion people in over 160 countries. It is marked every year on 14 November, the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin along with Charles Best in 1922 🩼

The theme of this year's WHO World Diabetes Day, "Diabetes across life stages,” recognizes that every person living with diabetes should have access to integrated care, supportive environments and policies that promote health, dignity and self-management 🥰

The blue circle is the global symbol of diabetes awareness. Help raise diabetes awareness in your community by wearing and sharing the blue circle pin 🔵

While there is no single official theme for World Kindness Day 2025, the general focus is on the positive impact of kindness, small acts, and creating a more compassionate world. The day encourages performing acts of kindness, fostering empathy, and promoting a culture of generosity, with many resources suggesting focusing on small, intentional gestures in the workplace and community ❤️💕

Our Avidity Angels always show warmth, empathy, and respect through both actions and words. They help and encourage client well-being by building trust and fostering a very positive environment. Our angels listen and don’t judge and always show genuine consideration for our client’s feelings, needs and dignity. World Pneumonia Day 🫁

World Pneumonia Day, observed on November 12, is promoted by NHS and other health organizations to raise awareness about the seriousness of pneumonia and encourage people to take preventative measures, primarily through vaccination. The NHS encourages eligible individuals, particularly those over 65 or with long-term health conditions, to get the pneumococcal vaccine to protect themselves against serious lung infections ❤️
