Physiotherapy helps to promote healing of injury. There are 4 stages of healing:

1. haemostasis (body stops bleeding by creating clots)

2. inflammation (body gets rid of bacteria and debris. Starts repair of the injury)

3. proliferation (injury is now clean. blood vessels are formed. The centre of the injury contracts and pulls the tissue back together.

4. maturation (the new tissue starts to gain strength and flexibility)

Can’t feel certain muscle groups when you train? This is most likely to be from incorrect technique. But why when you work on your technique are you still struggling to activate these muscles?

You’ve likely tightened muscles that are now overactive and switching your wanted muscle groups off

E.g
- unable to feel lats during pull downs - most likely from an overcompensated teres major and lower trapezius muscle
- Unable to feel glutes working on squats - most likely from overactive hamstrings and Quadratus Lumborum muscle.

This is very easily rectified through trigger point acupuncture!
One needle can make all the difference between not using your muscle and using it properly.

Electroacupuncture does exactly what is says on the tin: gives acupuncture treatment together with electrotherapy.

Research shows electrotherapy is a highly effective treatment increasing pain relief for the receiver and reducing muscle spasm. This makes it ideal for both chronic and acute pain in the back, neck, shoulder and knee.

Electroacupuncture is available to book now at Muscle Movement Mobility. Contact me on 07960027 447 or musclemovementmobility@gmail.com
