Discipline

If you cut corners on the small things, you will cut corners on the big things. If you are lazy with your habits, you will be lazy with your goals.

If you only make half efforts in the gym, you will probably make half efforts in life.

Most people think discipline only matters when it’s convenient to you. If your room is a mess, then your thoughts and head space are probably a mess.

If your diet is inconsistent, your energy and focus will be off.

Most people will say ‘I will start tomorrow’ but they never do.

You keep failing because you are stuck in the same patterns, the only person who can make these changes are you.

If you want a better life, start with better habits.

Can stress be a direct result of lower back pain

Stress comes in the form of work, family life, relationship breakdown and many other factors. Stress can significantly contribute to lower back pain through muscle tension, inflammation, and changes in posture.

Stress and lower back pain are closely linked, with evidence suggesting that chronic stress can lead to chronic pain, including back pain.

Muscle Tension: Stress often causes muscles to tense up, particularly in the back, leading to stiffness and pain. This tension can restrict mobility and exacerbate discomfort.

Increased Sensitivity to Pain: Stress can heighten the body's sensitivity to pain, making even minor discomfort feel more intense. This is due to changes in the nervous system and pain processing mechanisms.

Inflammation: Chronic stress can lead to inflammation throughout the body, including the back, which can contribute to pain.

Posture Changes: Stress can alter breathing patterns and lead to poor posture, which places additional strain on the back muscles.

Reduced Physical Activity: Anxiety and stress may cause individuals to become less active, leading to weakened back muscles and increased pain.

Solutions

Try to reduce the stress by undergoing some hypnotherapy or getting outside more often and create a little back pain management program which can be done every day until you recover.

Stretching them tight muscles

Stretching sometimes helps loosen them tight muscles by elongating them to help increase range of motion.

Key points

Improves flexibility, increases range of motion, aids recovery, and can help reduce injury. Here are some key points about stretching:

Benefits: Stretching can enhance flexibility, improve joint range of motion, reduce the risk of injury, and aid in recovery from exercise.

Stretches can be performed in many ways, dynamic, static, and ballistic stretching.

If you stretch on a regular basis and fail to see any benefits, one keynote to take away, when you have finished stretching your gastrocnemius, instead of sitting down, go for a walk for minute, this will help the gastrocnemius from tightening up again.

Isometrics exercise for joint pain

What is an isometric exercise, it’s a joint position hold, which will be a muscle contraction with no joint movement, so basically, you will be holding that joint position with no movement. These exercises can be beneficial for rehabilitation of a painful shoulder or tendinitis. They can also be used just for maintenance during a normal exercise program.

Most of the general exercises are the same as normal exercises, like a glute bridge. Instead, you would just hold at the top position for a few seconds, rest and repeat. This will target the glutes and hamstrings, which will help protect the knees.

If you are a beginner to exercise, isometric holds are a great place to start as these holds have minimal impact on the joints and a great way to build strength in the tendons and ligaments.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

The pelvic floor muscles have many functions from supporting organs, creating stability for the hips and pelvis, helping during sexual in*******se and supporting organs.

When we lose the function of these muscles, we might see more frequent trips to the toilet, lower back pain, bowel movement issues, and discomfort during sexual in*******se.

Things that can help get your pelvic floor back online, Kegel exercises, transverse abdominal exercises, and other based core exercises. Breathing exercise can also be beneficial.

People often find doing all the pelvic floor exercise and breathing exercise, that the dysfunction will still persist. Other things which can be addressed is trauma, which is experienced as a child, which can cause a child to be in fight or flight mode on a regular basis, these patterns will intensify as the child experience more stress in life, hypnosis is a great tool to address these traumatic patterns.

Mental illness

We are seeing more and more mental illness being diagnosed. This generally covers conditions that affect mood, thinking, and behaviour and can significantly impact daily functioning. People who are generally diagnosed with a condition are put on medication to help combat these symptoms.

We often don’t know what people are going through on a day-to-day basis, and it is difficult to help people who don’t want to be helped.

People often take medication daily to help mental illness but carry on living the same lifestyle, which has got them into this situation.

Family members and friends will often point them in the right direction to seek medical help; some will go down this route, and others will often decline. Even with medical help, this isn’t always enough to help these people. The underlying statement is that the client must be willing to change. Otherwise, all other treatment is invalid.

Should we take supplements on a regular basis.

Most people often take supplements on a day-to-day basis to help prevent illness from getting a cold to the flu, or feeling they are lacking a certain food in their diet, or on the recommendation of some leading expert.

Supplements are not a shortcut to good health – taking a pill isn't a substitute for a healthy, balanced diet.

Supplements are a synthetic substance, and the best way to source vitamins and minerals is from good, clean, healthy food.

Sometimes supplements are required for a short period of time, when we are suffering from medical conditions or under constant stress.

The ways in which you can keep the body balanced is to reduce your stress and stick to a regular diet of healthy foods.

A belief system is a set of principles that a business or people hold to be true, and no convincing them will change their minds.

Recently had a client went for an annual health check-up through BUPA, all test passed, but the blood pressure was slightly high, only by a couple of marks, could not find anything else wrong, which was positive. BUPA are in fact, an extension of the NHS. the same people work across both parties. My client has a diet of high carbs/sugar, which demonised by this organisation, doesn’t do any cardio exercise, which they also recommend. The key takeout from this is to make sure you do some research. Not one approach fits all, and some approaches can make you ill if you believe nothing else works.

A whiplash injury is a painful neck injury that’s very common after a car accident, particularly rear-end accidents. Whiplash accidents also have a carryover to playing sports with impacts coming from various angles, which can also affect the whole body, not just the neck.

Rehabilitation of whiplash generally only focuses on the muscles and ligaments around the neck area, hence why some people never recover fully from this disorder. Other things to consider are seat belt strain across the chest, hands and more focus on the thumb and index finger holding onto the steering wheel. Hips being in anterior of posterior position on impact and the foot being pressed into the break padel in a dorsi flexion position. The emotional aspect will also play another big part of the recovery from this trauma, as everything will be stored in the subconscious mind from the accident.

Failed relationships

During our lifetime, we will experience many failed relationships. This can come in the form of falling out with our parents on a permanent basis, splitting up with sexual partners, and falling out with friends permanently. Most of these can be very traumatic for certain individuals to deal with, but as time goes by, these things seem to heal themselves, but the subconscious mind never forgets these difficult experiences. Most people will enter another relationship failing to deal with the trauma from a previous relationship and carrying the same habits and patterns into the next relationship, this can range from trust issues, compatibility and communication issues to name a few. Often, people will find themselves in multiple failed relationships because the trauma hasn’t been dealt with from previous relationships.

Hypnosis is an excellent rehabilitation tool to help overcome these difficult experiences. Don’t just exist in a relationship. Be happy in that relationship.
