It’s Fika time again on Saturday !!
Simon is hosting this months Fika coffee morning for us TOMORROW so make sure you pop along and see him.
We’ll also have a visit from Sophie from Home Straight. Home Straight is a privately owned business based in Oakham that provides help in the home and personal care to older people, and those living with dementia and other disabilities. Offering a practical and comforting alternative to residential care, their services can be tailored to meet your needs to enable you to live independently in your own home.

It’s also Remembrance Day weekend so all donations will go to the Poppy collection.

Fika means making time for friends to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat - what’s not to like!

‘The Village Jam’ - New Social Evenings at the Village Hall
Come along for a relaxed evening of live music, good company, and a friendly village atmosphere at the Village Hall on Friday 14th November. We’ll have a bar available, with
crisps and nibbles to keep you going while you catch up with friends and neighbours.
A perfect chance to unwind for the weekend, support local music, and make the most of a fun free night out in the heart of the village.
We’re hoping to make The Village Jam a regular event with your support so pop along anytime between 7 and 10pm on Friday 14th November, have a drink, a catch up with friends and a relaxing evening right on your doorstep!
The first Village Jam will have live music from The Other Band.

Our regular monthly ‘Fika Saturdays’ at the Village Hall are usually on the second Saturday of every month at 10.30am - 12.30pm. They are a great way of coming together for a chat and a coffee.
Our next Fika for 2025 will be held on Saturday October 11th hosted by Gill and Sue.
Any cake donations are always most welcome!
Fika means making time for friends to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat - what’s not to like!

The Village Hall will be open Wednesday 1pm-6pm, Thursday 9am-1pm and if still needed Friday 9am-5 pm this week for anyone needing a WiFi connection.
Please feel free to help yourself to tea or coffee (bring your own milk). Please do your own washing up!
Tables and chairs are in the store room off the kitchen for those of you not been in before.
If issues continue into next week I’ll post availability as and when.
Friday teas will still be on 11am-12pm.

Popcorn bars, gooseberry and orange drizzle cake, Flourless Chocolate cake (GF) and Orange and white chocolate sponge 😋

A week today ( Saturday 13th September) is our Annual MacMillan Coffee morning in the village hall 10.30-12-30.

It would be lovely to have some yummy cakes for folk to enjoy with their coffee (or tea!) or to take away whole bakes for a small donation.

If you’d like to contribute your baking skills please let me know on southluffenhamvillagehall@gmail.com

Any donations will be really appreciated!!

We will also have a visit from Karen Newman from 11am from the CallConnect Bus service to explain how it works and answer any queries you may have now we don’t have a regular bus service in the village. Do pop along and see her as we know there have been many questions about this on FB!

So - don’t forget to pop along and enjoy the morning together catching up, having a coffee and indulging in a little bit of something yummy 😋

The weather is looking glorious tomorrow - just right for coming for a coffee and catch up in the village hall before heading out to enjoy the sunshine!
