Stretching is the most visible part, not the most important one.

Yoga trains how you breathe under load.
How your joints organize instead of collapse.
Where your attention goes when things get challenging.

Strength and control aren’t about forcing shape.
They’re about staying integrated while you move.

Grounding is the through line.
If you feel connected to the floor and your breath, the rest organizes itself.

That’s what practice is really building.

Our teachers have hundreds if not thousands of postures in their repertoires and constantly pass the knowledge onto the students.

A lot of yoga myths survive because they look like discipline.

Pushing through pain.
Ignoring signals.
Handing authority away to the room or the teacher.

But the body doesn’t learn through pressure.
It learns through safety and clarity.

Rest isn’t weakness.
Modifying isn’t falling behind.
Listening isn’t lack of effort.

These aren’t beginner truths.
They’re advanced skills that keep people practicing for life.

Some of the most liberating feelings come from backbends. They can expose our fears and vulnerabilities physically and emotionally. It takes courage to open the heart ❤️yet in doing so all that ‘stuff’ and fear we hide there can be set free allowing more love and compassion towards ourselves and others and a calm confidence to infuse our lives😊.
