We are delighted to announce that John Rothery is joining the practice - bringing with him 17 years worth of experience as an Osteopath - with a particular interest in sports injuries and sporting performance. He is also qualified and experienced in corticosteroid injection therapy for peripheral joints such as knees, elbows, shoulders, wrists and ankles. John will be in clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and regular Saturday mornings. His first session will be Saturday 21st February.

John has for many years run his own Osteopathy, Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries clinic in Pembrokeshire, but he and his family have made the massive move to Lincolnshire in order to be closer to family.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT

From the week commencing 23rd February, appointments with Perry and Anthea will be available on Mondays and Thursdays only, with occasional Saturday mornings. For the time being, both our lists are closed to new consultations.

We're not going anywhere and will continue to be very much at the heart of the practice but, after 30 years, we're taking a little more time for ourselves. Thank you for your understanding.

We warmly recommend our experienced and highly capable team of associate osteopaths & physiotherapists.

✨ Welcome to the team, Claire! ✨

We’re delighted to welcome Claire Sampson, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, to The Broad Street Practice. (She’s so new to us, we haven’t got her mugshot yet!)

Claire supports both women and men. She is able to address conditions such as bladder and bowel leakage, prolapse, pelvic pain, post-breast cancer surgeries and pregnancy related concerns.

She will also be offering post-natal checks for new mums, supporting recovery after birth and helping women feel confident, comfortable and strong as they return to everyday life. Claire takes a compassionate, evidence-based approach and is passionate about supporting her patients to get back to their best.

Claire qualified as a physiotherapist 25 years ago and for the last 4 years she has chosen to specialise in women's and pelvic health physiotherapy. Her NHS clinics at Peterborough City Hospital are limited and packed out – with people finding it difficult to get help in a timely manner, so she is choosing to offer an adjunctive private service.

📅 Appointments with Claire here at The Broad Street Practice will be available on • Alternate Fridays, • One Saturday morning per month. Clinics start on Friday 9th January.

We’re thrilled to be expanding our women’s health services and to have Claire’s specialist expertise.

This patient was seen yesterday and our tally of registered patients rolls on past the...24000 mark!....an average of about 3 new patients every working day in the 29½ years since we started the practice in June '96!

That's a lot of people from a relatively small community, and results from our efforts to be effective, honourable and trustworthy in our dealings with our patients, colleagues and the wider community.

As we go into the New Year we want to thank the good people of Stamford and beyond for putting their trust in us.

There were lots of posts on FB yesterday by contemporaries from the BCNO - our osteopathy college - celebrating the 30th anniversary of our graduation.😱🫣

4 years of full-time training seemed like an eternity.....

2.1 BSc Honours degrees and we thought we knew it all - but here we are 30 years later still practising!! 😂🥂 (pun intended).
